Hilarious! Some Oregonians Are Freaking Out Over Pumping Their Own Gas

--PLEASE HOLD FOR STORY RUNNING SUNDAY, OCT. 30--In a photo taken Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, an attendant at Shell gas station pumps gas for a motorist in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. Cheap gas has long been a benefit of living in New Jersey and the siren that lured drivers there from neighboring states. New Jersey currently has the second-lowest gas prices in the nation, behind only Alaska. And since they pay the highest property taxes in the nation, Garden State residents have always seen the low fuel prices as one of their few ways to keep down the cost of living in the nation’s most densely populated state. The days of cheap gas in New Jersey will come to an end Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, when a 23-cents-per-gallon state gas tax increase takes effect. (AP Photo/Julio Cortez)

A new law went into effect in the new year that has some Oregonians terrified and threatening to protest.

Why? Because the new law will allow Oregonians in certain unpopulated areas the option of pumping their own gas, and some Oregonians just can’t even.

Responding to a Facebook post from an Oregonian news outlet, people were asked to share their thoughts and feelings on the new law and some of the responses are downright laughable.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like if you can’t figure out how to pump gas, you have no business having a driver’s license.

This guy apparently thinks gas pump attendants have Ph.D.s. No one tell him.

Some of those complaining are downright condescending.

I have some news for this person, I’m disabled and live in Washington state where we don’t have gas pump attendants. I either pump my own gas or ring for an attendant. This is not that complicated, Oregon.

Not to mention the bands of marauding transients Oregonians will apparently be accosted by if they pump their own gas. You can’t make this stuff up.

At least most of the country doesn’t have to worry about Oregonians invading, right?

Exactly.
