New Poll Is Really Bad News for Roy Moore

Republican Roy Moore is officially polling outside the margin of error in a new Fox News poll conducted Monday through Wednesday evenings.

Moore is behind by 8 points among likely voters in a state so red the Democrats didn’t even bother running a challenger to now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions in 2014.

With Moore and his supporters consistent refrain being about how important the Alabama Senate seat is for Republicans, one has to ask if there is any politician more selfish than Roy Moore right now?

Republicans are looking increasingly more likely to lose a seat that should be a walk to keep. Moore’s refusal to step aside when all Senate endorsements and official Republican support has been revoked in light of the multiple credible accusations against him is a stance based on his self-interest alone.
