I saw this clip this evening and flew into an apoplectic rage. When I become this angry, blogging becomes therapeutic. My fury is now your problem.
It all started with this statement by Sen. Lindsey Graham:
Graham: "The skinny bill as policy is a disaster. The skinny bill as a replacement for Obamacare is a fraud." (via @MSNBC) pic.twitter.com/5gA7QSXWN3

Lindsey Graham starts the clip with a valid point criticizing the so-called “skinny repeal” bill — noting that it is, of course, no repeal at all. Then he got to the part that set me on fire:
Not only do we not replace ObamaCare, we politically own the collapse of health care. I’d rather get out of the way and let it collapse than have a half-assed approach where it is now our problem.
When I saw that — and I do not exaggerate — I started screaming at my phone: “IT ALREADY IS YOUR #$@&%* PROBLEM!! YOU GUYS ARE IN @#$%^&*ING CHARGE! IF YOU DO NOT #$@&%*ING REPEAL OBAMACARE, YOU ALREADY OWN EVERY @#$%^&*ING THING THAT HAPPENS!”
(Nobody else was around to see me going the full Scaramucci.)
I was angry, but I was right. They will own it. They will own it all.
Part of me will be satisfied when a bunch of these people are tossed out on their rear ends in 2018. But a larger part of me will be distressed — because they will be replaced by Democrats. And that is worse. Marginally worse — but still, worse.
The sooner these people get it through their head that they own the whole enchilada, the sooner they can oh who am I kidding they will never get it through their head.
None of this ends well. None of it.
