Jeffries' Response to Piker's 'American Jews' Remark Gets Blasted by Left - Then Piker Jumps In

The Democrats have created another problem for themselves by associating themselves with the extremist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker. Of course, he's just one of the many radical leftists they've embraced.

But because they embraced him, they're now going to get nailed for all the statements he makes that are problematic. Yet, they had ample reason to know he was an issue from prior statements. They were hoping having him would get them more voters; they didn't care about what he said.

Now Piker has made another remark that is an issue. He put up a picture of a Michigan Democrat candidate for the House, Jeremy Moss, then said this:

"If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone is going to come around and take action, not against the state of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews."

Now Democrats are trying to backpedal a bit from Piker, with even Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed issuing a statement trying to distance himself from the remarks, although not disavowing him and not saying he wouldn't campaign again with him. He has to know that's not going to go over well in the general election.

If he doesn't, Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) obviously does. Here's what Jeffries had to say as he tried to remedy things.

The malicious claim that American Jews are inviting violence against themselves is dangerous and antisemitic.

There is zero justification for threats against the safety of our Jewish brothers and sisters at a moment of rising hate.

It's a clear response to Piker's remarks, yet Jeffries was still too squishy to even name him.

Then Piker himself weighed in.

Remarks he made about a Democrat, and objected to by a Democrat, are a "Republican smear campaign"? Does he even listen to himself? How dare you Republicans notice what he said!

Nobody conflated anything. He said what he said, as I noted above. And he did it while talking about Jeremy Moss, the Democrat nominee for the 11th Congressional District. So he can't back out of it now.
