Priceless: Dem Senator Gets Served a Brutal Response to His Post About Running for 4th Term

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) has been in office since 2009.

He's running for a fourth term, and he posted about why he was doing it.

Sounds like he went with the "empty words" playbook on that one.

So I have a few questions. Warner has had 17 years to deliver. Why hasn't he achieved those things? What has he been doing for all those years?

Warner voted for the Obamacare disaster, which was supposed to solve everything. He claims to be for protecting "free and fair elections"? But he was for the ridiculous lobster-shaped Virginia redistricting plan that got smacked down by the Supreme Court of Virginia. He's also against the SAVE America Act.

But, as our sister site Twitchy observed, the people took issue with Warner running again because of his record and because of what he's said about running in the past. He also promised he would not run again after this fourth term, if he won.

He'll get it done this time and not run again; he's super serious this time. Does anyone really believe this?

Apparently not. He got completely roasted in the replies and ratioed to the moon.

The Virginia GOP nailed him good. Here's Warner when he first ran for Senate in 1996. Look how young he is.

“I don’t want to be a lifelong politician. My view of public service is something you do for part of your life, not all of your life. That’s why I’ve said that if I’m elected to the U.S. Senate, I will serve no more than two terms. Because I think the value of our system is that it is constantly renewed by new ideas, fresh ideas, and fresh people."

He chastised his opponent for daring to question him about "the role of the U.S. Senator."

He lost that race, then became governor, but ran again and won in 2008. What has all that been, except being a "lifelong politician"? When you're running for a fourth term, that's the very definition of it. Does he think we forgot? He's 71 now, and would be 78 at the end of a fourth term.

Somehow, I don't think he's "fresh" anymore; I think he's kind of wilted and maybe spoiled at this point.
