Watch: Wisconsin Dem. Francesca Hong Try to Run From Her Record on Live TV

My colleague Sister Toldjah recently reported on a big shake-up in the race for the Democratic nomination for governor of Wisconsin: Former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes dropped out.

That pretty much clears the field for far-left Francesca Hong for the nomination.

My colleague Jennifer Oliver O'Connell has a saying I think many of us share: "Crazy eyes, they never lie." And somehow there seem to be a lot of crazy-eyed women on the left.

But when it comes to "crazy eyes," not to mention crazy policies, I think we have to acknowledge that Hong has them, in spades.

On Tuesday, she was nailed by a local reporter, Fox 6 Now's Jason Calvi, with the fact that she'd previously called to defund the police. The weird head-bobbing is also incredibly distracting.

She claims now she wants to be "tough on crime," and she's running away from some of the things she previously said — now that she's running for election.

So why exactly should anyone believe her? And why would anyone elect someone who thinks like that? But this is the common trick of the leftist lately: They claim they don't hold those views now. She said it when she was 31 years old, an alleged adult. So, I'm not buying it.

Hong talks about being tough on the "causes" of crime. Well, the "causes" include the criminal. So actually prosecuting them, holding them accountable, and locking them up so they don't keep committing crimes is kind of important. Notice she really doesn't talk about that.

It's also hilarious that the media handler had to come up and pull her away.

Hong has been making the media rounds. She also hit Fox on Friday, and the crazy eyes were definitely in full force. Perino asked her about some of the radical things she had said on Hasan Piker's podcast, including abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). "Is there anything in that list...that you disavow now?" Perino asked.

"No," said Hong, smiling.

Dana Perino asked her if she was a Democratic Socialist and if she agreed with their extreme platform. She confirmed she was. So end the interview right there; she's disqualified. But Perino kept up, and so did the crazy eyes.

Hong claimed she didn't agree with abolishing the Senate, that it's "nonsensical and non-practical, at this time." At this time? So there would be a time at which it would be "practical"? She also claimed she wasn't for abolishing the Supreme Court, although she thought it needed "checks and balances." It is specifically constructed to be independent of political control by the legislative or executive branches (although, obviously, justices could theoretically be impeached). She sort of deflected over defunding the Department of War, saying there should be auditing of it.

Perino put up some of her unhinged prior posts, including defund the police as a first step toward abolishing them, abolish the Senate, abolish ICE, and saying "police exist to uphold white supremacy." Perino didn't get to other crazy DSA positions, like amnesty for all illegal aliens, although that is up in a chart that was shown in the clip.

Hong hilariously talks about how people who voted for Trump could "evolve" to vote for her. Way to insult the voters you need, but will likely never get. Then she goes into her shtick about "causes" again, although she screws up slightly, saying "we can't be tough on causes" before immediately correcting herself and saying "we have to be tough on causes." Again, no "we have to be tough on criminals." But she insisted she would not defund the police if she were elected.

Saying crazy things makes her look bad. Then disowning them while smirking makes her look worse — why should we believe you? I'm not sure who thought this was a good idea. But that likely just helped the Republican candidate, Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07).

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
