President Donald Trump has had a packed schedule for America 250 and the Fourth of July over the last few days.
He went to Mount Rushmore to ring in the start of the weekend with a rousing speech honoring our history and the men whose faces were carved there, while also delivering a warning about the threat that Communism poses. Then he was back in Washington for all the events in the capital on Saturday.

But, somehow, he also managed to squeeze in a little time for the Independence Day story time with Second Lady Usha Vance, as our sister site Townhall reported.

Trump used a book called "Presidents Play," which covered the various ways in which the presidents relaxed from such a stressful job. But Trump, being Trump, ad-libbed funny stuff as he spoke about the presidents.
Usha asked him if he had any time to read books with all he has to do. His answer was funny.
.@SLOTUS: "Do you have any time to read for fun these days?"@POTUS: "So I end up reading mostly newspapers. I usually read stories about myself." 🤣 pic.twitter.com/a0q7jDEpHu

Trump continued on that comedic bent, with a tongue-in-cheek comment about John Kennedy being the "second most good-looking president."
Trump on JFK:

John Kennedy was a great guy, handsome.

He had a little fun with Barack Obama.
.@POTUS: "Jimmy [Carter] as a tennis player, Barack Hussein Obama as a basketball player. I don't know if he was a good basketball player. I tend to doubt it. Actually, his favorite sport is golf—but he won't be in the Masters anytime soon." pic.twitter.com/W4pHxqIl48

He joked about having Obama, Joe Biden, and Bill Clinton over for a football game.
He still has it lmfao https://t.co/ZrEmYCcMSW pic.twitter.com/LkU2wna9aV

But probably the funniest moments were the self-deprecating humor. He spoke about William Howard Taft being our heaviest president - and how he didn't "want to supersede his record."
.@POTUS on President Taft: "He was a large man—very large... He was our heaviest president, and I have to be careful because I don't want to supersede his record—and a thing like that would be possible if I allowed it to happen." 🤣 pic.twitter.com/OxzdrfucEo

When he spoke about how Gerald Ford swam, he quipped about how he didn't know if he would look good in a bathing suit, that he hadn't had one on in a "looong time."
.@POTUS: "An outdoor pool was built for President Gerald Ford... I don't get to use it. I don't know if I look good in a bathing suit. I haven't had a bathing suit in a LOOONG time." 😂 pic.twitter.com/cf8XLDOUns

But then he got serious and said presidents are only there for a short time, "it's an honor to be here," and "You should work for the people."
