Vice President JD Vance has shown he doesn't fear going on liberal media programs to do interviews. He even took on the folks on The View, which has to be one of the most anti-Trump (and often anti-reality) shows out there. He did a great job by simply presenting a reasonable face and explaining facts, debunking a variety of the erroneous narratives that they laid out.

On Friday night, Vance ventured onto Bill Maher's Real Time show. One has to think the Democrats are going to flip out at this one, as Matt Vespa at our sister site Townhall reported. Not only did Vance crush it, but Maher dropped some big shots that the Democrats are not going to want to hear.
Maher first attacked the socialist win in New York.

During his "New Rules" segment, he pointed to the World Cup fans' enthusiasm, and that yes (unlike what the socialists and some other Democrats are pitching), we are a pretty awesome place.

Maher then thanked Vance for coming on his show and went after the Democrats for not having the courage, as Vance and other Republicans have done. Vance joked that Maher would never get the new Democratic nominee for NY-13, Darializa Avila Chevalier, on the show. Maher specifically name-checked "AOC...Mamdani...Kamala Harris" for not daring to come on the show.

He says it’s his own party — the Democrats — who REFUSE to talk to him, calling out AOC, Kamala Harris, and Zohran Mamdani by name.

Maher tried the "ICE is mean" narrative on Vance, but Vance was having none of it, squashing it flat.

Instead, Vance handed him reality, in plain terms, with a smile.

Vance explained that, yes, unsurprisingly, sometimes arresting someone is not pretty, especially if the person is resisting.
He killed it with this point about how we had to deal with the millions let in under Joe Biden.
"What I worry about is people who say you can't do immigration enforcement if it produces a bad video clip. What they're really saying is you can't ever actually do immigration enforcement."
Not to mention, if leftist activists are interfering in the arrest or attacking federal agents.
Vance took down another false narrative about Secretary of War Pete Hegseth firing minorities, explaining how the media often falsely obfuscates the truth to promote their narratives.

He had Maher agreeing with him at the end, and even got media applause.

Vance also laid out an intelligent explanation as to why their nuclear weapon program was crushed - the main point of the action against the Iranian regime.

But this is the moment that is going to make the Democrats just explode: where he admitted if the Democrats continued their insane lurch left, he might vote for Vance or Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Maher openly admitted to Vance that if socialists take over the Democratic Party, he’s likely voting for him or Rubio.

“Like, if this is where the Democratic Party is going, where this Democratic socialist, this obsession with Israel, with the Jew hating, with they don’t believe in capitalism, no prisons...”
“If this is where they’re going, my vote is in play.”
Vance replied, "Okay, I like to hear that."
Maher joked, “And Trump can’t run again and he’d be a little too exciting for me anyway. So it’s either going to be you or Rubio.”
Vance aced it, and Maher's take is likely another sign of how other centrist Democrat voters might move. This is a death knell for the Democratic Party if they keep on in this direction.
