Today is election day in Virginia on the redistricting question, though early voting has been going on for several weeks.
As my colleague Sister Toldjah explained, if this measure is approved, that would "amend Virginia’s constitution to give the Democratic-majority General Assembly temporary power to redraw the state’s congressional districts."
The proposed map, if enacted, would likely take the Commonwealth's congressional Democrats from a 6-5 advantage to a 10-1 advantage, netting them four seats in the 2026 midterms.
Fox's Shannon Bream pointed out how unfair this seemed to Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), and he went on a rant about "Donald Trump's tyranny."

Translation? That's their excuse for their own power grab. They're not exactly defending democracy when there's that kind of a split, yet they want to grab 90 percent of the seats.
But how crazy is the scheme? If even CNN is stunned by the wild map, then you know that it must be pretty bad. They describe how the proposed new map takes the more heavily Democratic areas in the north and creates five different districts that "pinwheeled" out into conservative, more rural areas. The reporter sounded like she couldn't even quite believe it.
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Even CNN was just FORCED to report just how badly Democrats are trying to CHEAT the Congressional map into 10D-1R

She can't even believe it!
"Look at how this map is structured! They've taken the heavily Dem areas in the north and created 5 SEPARATE DISTRICTS… pic.twitter.com/YNMnzuweWG
She marveled at how it was structured. The CNN reporter explained how this could result in 10 of the 11 districts leaning to the Democrats.
"We're kind of like smack dab in the middle of the district. If you go in one direction, there's another district about a mile and a half away. In the other direction, there's another district about two miles away, really highlighting the shifts that are being seen right now with these proposed maps."
The reporter was reporting from the proposed 7th District, which would look like a lobster.
The proposed Virginia 7th District - the "Lobster" isn't just insane because of the shape.

It's insane because people *west of Shenandoah* will be represented by NGO consultant in Arlington 3 hours away.
And that consultant will cross 5 districts to (never) visit them. pic.twitter.com/05nPaAkoBQ
How does that make sense? So much for restoring "fairness."
Of course, it's a bit late for CNN to point out the wild nature of it all on the last day, after many people have already voted.
But you know it's probably close, and they're hard up, if they're even pulling Barack Obama out to promote it.
If you think this map looks like gerrymandering, then vote NO! pic.twitter.com/ypci00eBWn

If you're in Virginia and you haven't voted yet, make sure you get out, bring others, and vote "no."
