You would think that the anti-ICE folks in Portland would have gotten tired and given up by this point after months of activism against the ICE facility there.
What they're doing is completely pointless, and it's not going to stop ICE from doing its job. But they are still protesting nightly outside the facility.
Over the months they have been protesting, there have been some dumb moments. They've danced around in frog costumes to pretend they were less threatening. There has been a naked bike ride protest outside the building. I'll spare you the naked bike ride; here are folks singing about it.

But I'll have to give them this. Their latest action produced something incredibly dumb. One of the anti-ICE crew was allegedly trying to set an American flag on fire, but ended up accidentally lighting himself up as well.

You can see him on fire. He almost looks like he's dancing, but somehow he manages to move around a bit and extinguish it, as people yell, "Put it out." That wasn't the "stop, drop, and roll" school of thought, so the man was very lucky he and others were able to put it out.
Meanwhile, someone from across the street calls him an "idiot" for setting himself on fire. Others then try to put out the still-burning flames in the street.
Pro tip? Not a good idea, this may not be their best and brightest. He almost paid a high price for a very bad move. Of course, being there at all is a bad move, and maybe he should take this as a hint that he should move on to other things. He's likely to feel it today, although he didn't look badly injured.
But it's typical Portland. This isn't even the first fire incident at the facility. About eight months ago, other people tried to set the building on fire, according to local reports.

But how long is the city of Portland going to let this go on? They know what's been happening, but they're incredibly leftist. There have been all kinds of violent incidents over the months. It's not just the anti-ICE people trying to harass agents at the ICE facility, but it's also affecting the neighbors who have the right to the quiet enjoyment of their property, not marred by all the noise and chaos that the protests cause. The neighbors have even filed lawsuits. But the city doesn't seem to give a darn about the security of its own citizens.
