I think it's fair to say I'm not a fan of Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30). In addition to promoting bad policies, she also seems obsessed with self-promotion and tends to stick her foot in her mouth. So it was perhaps not surprising that she could be beaten in a primary by a smooth-talker on policy, Texas State Representative James Talarico.
Crockett was not a happy camper with how the primary voting went, even accusing people of "cheating." It wasn't clear who the cheaters were supposed to be. She seemed intent on blaming Republicans, but she was in a primary with other Democrats. Was she accusing them of cheating?
But what seemed to be going on in the last month was the liberal media giving Talarico a boost at her expense, perhaps thinking that he stood a better chance of winning in Texas. We saw things like the Colbert show incident, where that was pitched as the Trump administration trying to shut Talarico down, versus the reality that Colbert didn't want to go along with what CBS was suggesting to comply with the equal time rules. Talarico promoted the lie big time, and it gave him a big increase in recognition. But so much for his alleged "Christianity," when he knows what he was saying wasn't true.

It perhaps says something about liberal media if they would throw the black female candidate under the bus, thinking Talarico stood a better chance. Ultimately, her being black and female was less important in their calculus than upping (they thought) their chances of winning in Texas. They think that because he's white and a seminary student, he will appeal more.
He's trying to sell himself as a caring moderate. Listen to this answer.
I don't think Republicans realize how dangerous Talarico will be as a Democratic presidential candidate. He's well spoken, white, and running as a "Christian". His brand will be very tough for most Republican candidates to beat. pic.twitter.com/7R5Cn3eGhe

Of course, the problem is that he isn't a moderate; he's far left. He's more left than Crockett was, and he doesn't answer the question in the above clip. They may have just played themselves because there are multiple clips out there that show just how extreme he is.
Here he is in October 2022, talking about how he wanted to "acknowledge" that "our trans community needs abortion care, too."

It was a speech on why God supports abortion
But before he began, he gave this disclaimer about how he knows trans people need abortions too so to not take his use of the word 'woman' as exhaustive pic.twitter.com/1nSROs7waN
"Defending trans Texans is something we have to do every day at the state capitol," Talarico asserted.
"So when I use the word woman, it should not be understood as an exhaustive term," he claimed. "But, rather, as a lens through which to understand, examine, and interrogate patriarchy."
Are you kidding? Does he even know what a woman is? It doesn't sound like it. But hey, he got in the radical buzzword about the "patriarchy."
Then there's his "God is non-binary" comment while talking about trans kids.
James Talarico, who sold his Christian creds to Texas voters to win normie, traditional voters' trust, is so ashamed of the actual Bible that he describes God as non-binary.

Oh, and there are six sexes, according to him (i.e., think people with chromosomal abnormalities).

As I've written before, he also preaches "taxing trillionaires out of existence" to "guarantee" food and housing for the poor. The economic illiteracy and redistribution philosophy is stark.

We cannot let that prevail.
Can we please get the ads ready with all this stuff? This is not going to go down well in Texas — but people need to be aware of it.
