“It’s all about our country right now. I love the USA, I love my teammates — it’s unbelievable. The USA hockey brotherhood is so strong, and we had so much support — I’m so proud to be American today," Hughes declared.
Hughes sacrificed his teeth during the game when he took a high stick to the mouth; that's why he was bleeding. But he wasn't coming out, and he scored the winning goal.

When you care about your team and your country, it lifts you to greater heights. The U.S. women won gold as well, so that's a pretty unique moment with both winning against Canada at hockey.

Americans were quite jubilant and responded with a lot of dunking on Canada.
Canada's Nathan MacKinnon was upset, "You be the judge of who was the better team today." This was a great one, implying they need a little help, like the double-touch the Canadian curling team was accused of doing.
