Gov. Tim Walz (D) activated the Minnesota National Guard on Saturday in the wake of a Border Patrol shooting.
Among the places the Guard was sent was to ostensibly protect the Whipple Federal Building, where the anti-ICE crew has been regularly causing chaos.
Now, recall, the state is making the Guard wear reflective vests to distinguish themselves from federal agents. Those are the "Please don't attack me, I'm not ICE" vests.

But you probably wouldn't believe it if I didn't have the video of what they were told to do on Sunday. They were handing out donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to the anti-ICE protesters.
HAPPENING NOW 🚨: MN National Guard members have arrived at the site of the federal building, and have been ordered to distribute donuts, coffee and hot chocolate to anti-ice protestors.

They were given reflective vests so protestors don’t confuse them with federal agents. pic.twitter.com/tnvAHiIMKM
WCCO called it a "refreshing interaction" that the National Guard said was a "demonstration of safety and security."
So let's review a couple of the fond interactions with the anti-ICE crew at the Whipple building. There are many, but perhaps these will give you a flavor.
How about water to help ice the road to make it more slippery and dangerous for agents?

Kind words expressed to federal agents:

“We’re going to fucking find you, and we’re going to fucking kill you! You’re going to fucking die, bitch!”

Let's not forget, elsewhere in Minneapolis on Saturday, this charming moment.
Trump posts photos of an ICE agent's finger, that was reportedly bitten off by one of the protesters.

Not to mention the other destruction, and things like invading a church and scaring children.
For those who think, well, maybe this changed attitudes or would calm things down, let's review what the anti-ICE crew then did later on Sunday, storming a hotel, breaking through the front doors, wreaking destruction and havoc — all because they thought ICE might be there.

The Minneapolis Police Department and the State Police finally responded to help federal agents after more than an hour of the madness. One agent appeared to have some injuries, although it was not clear how he was injured.

So who directed the National Guard to do this coddling and appeasement? Tim Walz? Who is paying for it?
The anti-ICE folks have caused a ton of damage and destruction, even hurting federal agents.
Do they not know that when you reward a tantrum, you get more? If you treat the behavior as normal, they think it is.
This gives them literal sustenance.
