JD Vance Delivers a Savage Schooling to Former Anchor About Obama Deportations

You may recall ABC News' Terry Moran, who was let go from the network after making posts about President Donald Trump and advisor Stephen Miller being "world-class haters."

ABC decided not to renew his contract, saying his posts violated their policies about objectivity.

But that was the same guy who they had on for years, presenting us with the "news."

His profile now defines him as an "independent journalist." But his post about immigration enforcement and Barack Obama again showed the mask was off.

There's a ton of stuff wrong with that post.

Vice President JD Vance schooled him on a couple of the big points.

Vance educated Moran with some facts:

This argument is just entirely fake, for two reasons.
1) In the Obama administration, they counted being turned away at the border as a deportation. A person would show up, be sent back, and counted as a deportation. We have to do deportations from the interior of the country because Biden and Harris let them walk in.
2) In the cities that are not sanctuary cities, the deportation process is orderly and normal--like most law enforcement. In Minneapolis and a few other sanctuary jurisdictions, local jurisdictions and a few leftwing agitators have decided to wage war on all immigration enforcement officers. They are hoping that a little chaos will convince us to give up on immigration enforcement. They are wrong.

Trump actually has the border infinitely more secure than it was under Obama. They basically have completely shut it down. So they don't have the number coming across that Obama could use to jack up the number and call them "deportations." Sending people back at the border was counted as a "deportation," which even Obama acknowledged was a bit "deceptive."

Part of the issue is also created by Democrats, because they refuse to cooperate with federal immigration agents. The agents wouldn't have to go into the communities to pick up the illegal aliens if Democrats in sanctuary jurisdictions would detain them in jail for ICE to pick up. Then, too, if local police were allowed to assist in providing some measure of traffic control and safety, you wouldn't have as many people impeding or ramming vehicles.

Democrats are making the situation more dangerous and confrontational with their harmful policies. And they're whipping up anger, which is why you have activists out impeding the agents. No one is being "disappeared."

As I wrote earlier, it's ironic and pretty hypocritical. Obama actually had them going into neighborhoods and picking up families - moms and children. But the Left that's screaming their heads off now were largely silent then.

A journalist would see the problems being created here by Democrats and try to hold them accountable.

Good on Vance for laying some facts on Moran.
