The Kennedy Center board voted to change the Center's name, adding President Donald Trump's name because he had done so much to help restore the prestige of the place.
However, as we reported, that led to a nuclear meltdown among those on the left. It was destroying "Democracy," according to one tantrum-throwing guy. Kerry Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr's sister, even said she was going to take a pickax to the Trump name on the building, once Trump is out of office.
But as the Trump-Kennedy Center head Ric Grenell said in response, where were these folks when the Center was in disarray? It was Trump who helped raise money to repair the problems, not them.

Among the tantrums was this one from former CNN character, Jim Acosta. Acosta has now been relegated to bad podcasting. When last we left them in the drama, Grenell had responded to Acosta in mid-tantrum, "Welcome to the Trump Kennedy Center!"

Acosta responded that "sh** was coming down as soon as you're gone."

Wait, I'm confused. Weren't we assured that "journalists" like this didn't "pick a side"? Sure sounds like there's some side-picking going on there, not to mention a threat to remove the letters. What a whiny person he is; he's likely not to have a happy time with JD Vance potentially winning in 2028. Acosta also cut off comments to his X posts so people couldn't call him out on his tantrum.
Grenell then had to put Acosta in his place when he yelled at the Center's vice president of public relations, Roma Daravi, claiming that they'd vandalized the building but it was "temporary."

That's supposed to be a shot, that ticket sales will go down with the name change.
Grenell demolished him on that as well, noting that arts program tickets in general have been down for years, but because of the work the Trump team had done, they'd put the finances of the Center in order with fundraising.

The solution for Arts institutions is to do exactly what DJT did - fix the programming so donors and corporations write checks.

The fact is they've hit record fundraising numbers.
The Kennedy Center Honors has raised a record $23 million for its 48th annual celebration, nearly doubling the $12.7 million raised last year under President Joe Biden, as President Donald Trump begins his tenure as chairman of the Kennedy Center, Fox News Digital has learned.
According to the Kennedy Center, the $23 million total marks the largest fundraising haul in the 48-year history of the Honors, which was launched in 1978 as the institution’s highest recognition of lifetime artistic achievement.
That doesn't sound like people aren't engaged. Where's the thanks for that from the left?
But if Acosta's point is that people on the left wouldn't buy tickets if Trump's name is on the building, again, what does that say about anyone who would do that? They care more about their hatred of Trump than they do about supporting the Center or its mission for the arts.
