Fetterman Exposes Left's Cruelty, Reveals Problems With Josh Shapiro

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) doesn't seem shy about saying exactly what he thinks.

He showed that again with the government shutdown, which he chastised his party for causing. He was a "yes" vote to open the government to begin with.

That earned him a lot of ire from the left. During an interview on CNN with Dana Bash for his book, "Unfettered," Fetterman explained that the "most poisonous, the bitterest" venom he had experienced was from the far left.

Fetterman said the worst was from Bluesky, the leftist social media haven.

And the difference is, I mean, the right would say really rough things and names. You know, some names I won't -- I won't repeat on, on TV. But -- but -- but the -- on the left, it was like they want me to die or we're cheering for your next stroke. Or that's terrible, that depression. Why couldn't the depression have won? And I hope your kids find you.

He said they even had a stroke gif, and said the doctor "let us down...why did they have to save his life?" That shocked even Bash, who was shaking her head at how evil the attacks were. Fetterman said he didn't know where such thinking comes from, but he's made it clear that it wasn't going to stop him from saying what he thinks.

Fetterman also revealed in his book that he had a dust-up with Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and their relationship has "never recovered." They were on the Board of Pardons together, and they disagreed in a Zoom meeting about commuting sentences. Then Fetterman called him a “f—ing a—hole” into a hot mic. He was so ticked off at him, he threatened to run against him for governor in 2022.

“I told him there were two tracks — that one and the one in which he ran for governor and I ran for the Senate (which was the one I preferred),“ Fetterman writes in his new book, “Unfettered,” as excerpted by the Philadelphia Inquirer

”I had no interest in friction, only in what I felt was justice.”

He said he thought Shapiro was driven by "political ambition."

Although their relationship had never recovered, he said he wished Shapiro well.  But that didn't stop him from dishing to Kamala Harris about his concerns about Shapiro.

During the 2024 campaign, Fetterman privately confided his apprehension about Shapiro to former Vice President Kamala Harris’ team as they considered potential running mates, Politico reported at the time.

That might be one of the reasons she didn't pick him, and it gives the questions about Shapiro more credence if Fetterman is also saying it.

That may have helped to defeat her. She instead picked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. And then, as we all know, she went on to lose Pennsylvania - and the race for the presidency.
