More Delicious Dem Implosion: Randi Weingarten's Big Message to DNC Head Ken Martin

Democrats are quite the mess right now.

Their approval levels are in the basement. They're more known for embracing illegal aliens and demonizing law enforcement rather than doing anything  productive. They even attacked the parade celebrating the Army's 250th birthday, which honored our warriors for 250 years of service. In attacking that, they were attacking the very history of America.

Then on top of that, they face all kinds of internal confusion. They're trying to reach out to groups of people who have moved away from them, like young men.

So they voted David Hogg as a Vice Chair of the DNC to help bring in that demographic. That imploded because he was trying with his group - Leaders We Deserve -  to primary older Democrats/people he thought were ineffective in safe districts.

The DNC voted to vitiate the initial election Hogg and another vice chair won because of a rule problem. But then Hogg decided not to run again in the new election.

In a call with Hogg that was leaked, Martin sounded close to tears when he said he thought Hogg had doomed his chances of success as leader.

Now it's AFT head Randi Weingarten's turn. She sent a letter to DNC chair Ken Martin telling him she would not accept a reappointment to her position.

Weingarten, who has been a member of the DNC for 23 years, wrote DNC Chair Ken Martin that she had fundamental disagreements with leadership.

“I appear to be out of step with the leadership you are forging,” she said in the letter dated June 5, “and I do not want to be the one who keeps questioning why we are not enlarging our tent and actively trying to engage more of our communities.”

She had been supportive of Hogg and I think that's what that comment was meant to be about.

So expect more turmoil over her departure and will Martin decide it's all too much for him and pack it in?

The problem that they have in reaching out to enlarge their tent is that they don't have good policies and they are too far to the left. You had folks like Weingarten jumping up and down at the "No Kings" protest.

She looked like she was going to launch into space. Exactly who would be attracted by that?

Her departure might help to shake the influence that she has with Democrats in Washington.

But it's just another sign that the Democrats have no idea where they are going and are just firing at each other at this point.
