Hoo Boy: Ted Cruz Dunks All Over Hakeem Jeffries in Battle Over Abrego Garcia

On Wednesday, there was a report that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was quietly discouraging Democrats from making any more trips to El Salvador and hanging out at a luxury hotel, while they advocate for illegal alien, alleged MS-13 gang member, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

The Jeffries team then denied the report, which frankly made them sound worse, as though they hadn't learned anything.

As our sister site Townhall reported, Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) teased Jeffires, noting what a bad look this was, and encouraging him to "keep it up!"

That set Jeffries off. He responded with a prickly remark.

"This from someone who abandoned his state during a historic winter storm to vacation in Cancun.

Nobody takes you seriously at this point.

And that’s Leader Jeffries to you, Edward."

Whoa, Jeffries is certainly sensitive about his title. Could he be a bit upset about what a mess Democrats are at this point?

Cruz isn't responsible for actions that should or should not be taken by the state or county government. I say that as a person who lives in Texas. Democrats are responsible for aligning themselves with Abrego Garcia. Indeed, Cruz showed he has the faith of the voters of Texas in November when he walloped his competitor, Colin Allred, by nine percentage points. So yes, I think Texans take him seriously — unlike Jeffries, who seems to be known more for his oddly distracting hand movements.

Cruz recalled that win in his reply to Jeffries.

Allred then interjected, comparing his athletic ability to Cruz's.

That video looks edited, but in any event, it isn't athletics that we're talking about here.

It's about serving the people in Congress. Colin Allred got his head handed to him by Cruz because the people of Texas believed Cruz would be better for the state. Democrats were beaten in that race in Texas, and they were beaten across the country, which is why Republicans have the presidency, the House, and the Senate.

That's on the head of Hakeem Jeffries and Democratic leadership because they did such a bad job.

They can keep sending folks to El Salvador, literally and figuratively, and keep making things worse for themselves.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
