MIC DROP: Karoline Leavitt Delivers Epic Response on French Politician Who Wants Statue of Liberty Back

As we reported earlier, a French European Parliament member, Raphael Glucksmann, who is part of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, took a nasty shot at the United States.

He quipped about wanting the Statue of Liberty back.

Give us back the Statue of Liberty.

We’re going to say to the Americans who have chosen to side with the tyrants, to the Americans who fired researchers for demanding scientific freedom:

‘Give us back the Statue of Liberty. We gave it to you as a gift, but apparently you despise it. So it will be just fine here at home.'

Um, where was this guy when there were people being penalized for demanding scientific freedom five years ago under COVID? Was this guy speaking up then? Under President Donald Trump, they're actually eliminating that kind of censorship.

I'm not sure what he's talking about with the "scientific freedom" nonsense. But does Glucksmann think people getting fired because they're cutting the government is bad? That might explain why Europe is such a mess. If you're going to cut the debt and the deficit, you have to take action to make the government leaner and cut fraud, waste, and abuse.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about this crack from Glucksmann by Fox News' Peter Doocy during the White House press briefing on Monday. He asked if President Donald Trump was going to "send the Statue of Liberty back." Leavitt had a truly epic response.

"Absolutely not," she firmly replied.

"And my advice to that unnamed low-level French politician would be to remind them that it's only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now -- they should be very grateful to our great country."

Now that's one heck of a great response, and maybe the French need to be reminded of exactly that. I like the fact that she even treated him like the minor politician he is by not even bothering to mention his name. That's about the response he should get with such a remark, which is just about trying to drag the U.S.

We saved France in World War II. We've been the beacon of freedom for more than a century while all Europe was descending into wars and conflicts, and their people fled here for safety. We've protected them and the rest of Europe for decades. Yet, this is what we frequently get in attitude from them over the years.

It's about time someone reminded them of how much they've owed to us for so many decades.

Can we talk about how much better Leavitt is than her predecessor Karine Jean-Pierre at this job? She not only answers the questions, but she has intelligent responses that help the administration's positions -- unlike KJP.

Good on Leavitt for standing up and standing strong for America.
