Democrats are now suffering the effect of their own folly.
Democrats lost — badly — to President Donald Trump and the Republicans in November. The American people said they wanted a big change from Democratic rule — so much so that they gave all the power to Republicans and completely shut the Democrats out.
The left is seething as a result. What makes it worse is that the Democratic politicians keep doing the wrong thing and doubling down on the "Trump is Hitler" and will destroy everything nonsense. Why is that bad for the Democrats? Because that's only whipping up their leftist base all the more while they do nothing to satisfy their angst.
Democrat leaders just told them they're losing their democracy, and we're heading to a dictatorship. And all they're doing is holding up ridiculous little signs. Now, they could have been honest, said that was all nonsense, or at least gotten on board with Trump and the Republicans to make things better for the American people. But they didn't.
Instead, the Democrats have been trying to convince their angry base that they're doing something in decidedly unconvincing videos. I wrote about Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) talking about a climate of fear. He only made it worse. And his fellow Californian, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D) took a page from the same playbook.

Now, there's a delusional entry from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). He's trying to convince the base that "We have the Republicans on the run." This is pretty hilarious, with how delusional it is.
First, what the heck is with his hands? It's a problem he has — it looks like a bad imitation of Barack Obama — but it's extremely distracting when he does it. All you can think of is not what he's saying but how weird those hand movements come across. Then there's also the creepy eyes.
But beyond that, what is he even talking about? The Democrats were tossed out of power — how do they have anyone on the run?
He talks about three issues, but nothing he says has even a nodding acquaintance with reality.
First, he claims Trump and the Republicans are "crashing the economy." They've been in office for about a month and a half; they haven't crashed anything in that time. Indeed, they are having to dig us out of the mess that Joe Biden left. He's the one who tanked the economy, and Jeffries didn't care to talk about it then. Why would anyone trust what he has to say now? Jeffries talks about Trump's poll numbers. But Trump's poll numbers are good and higher than the Congressional Democrats. The American people also think we're going in the right direction under him. So Jeffries just seems more at sea.

Second, he claims, "We have them on the run in terms of healthcare." He then lies, claiming the GOP wants to "make the largest cut to Medicaid in American history." That's complete fantasy, and he encourages people to "keep the pressure on them in communities across the country." So again, he's trying to whip up his base with fantasy (while doing nothing for them).
Third, he says, is the "GOP tax scam," which seems a warmed-over extension of his second point, where he repeats the lie about Medicaid and then throws in Social Security and some other things as well. Trump actually passed tax cuts that helped most Americans. It's Democrats who don't want to continue that who would hurt most Americans.
Now we can see why Jeffries can't even herd the cats in his own party properly. That's part of the reason they're in such disarray. They don't listen to what he asks of them and openly defied him when he told them not to make a scene at President Donald Trump's Joint Address. So much for his leadership.

"We have them on the run, and we're going to keep our foot on the gas pedal," Jeffries claimed.
As the Democrats drive right off a cliff with their delusions and lies.
President Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress has radical Democrats in panic mode, and their childish protests won't stop all of the winning.
