It's been a tough day for the Democrats.
As we reported, Kash Patel, the person they really didn't want to have confirmed, was in fact confirmed earlier with a 51-49 vote, despite all their rants against him.

Democrats tried a last-minute protest in front of the FBI building and I have to admit this picture made me laugh.
Warning for graphic language:
Wow, the public outrage is high 🤣🤣 https://t.co/EUpTEELxbP

Where were all the crowds? Elon Musk snarked that the "public outrage was high" -- when there were only the five Democratic politicians in the picture. I also saw Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) in another picture and video. But they didn't even seem to be able to get all their own senators out.
You know the Democrats had to be fuming, particularly Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), that Patel was confirmed. Listen as Schiff rants about Patel not having "trust," "character," and '"integrity."
Kash Patel can't do the job of FBI Director. He's patently unqualified.

Those who vote for his confirmation will be accountable for the destruction he does to the nation's top law enforcement agency and to the rule of law. pic.twitter.com/qfqaMUBbNS
Has he checked the mirror lately? Isn't he the same guy who was censured by his fellow members of the House for misleading the American public on Russia collusion?
Elon Musk said in response to Schiff's remarks that he was a "criminal." We will note he has not been charged or convicted of a crime. Schiff may be wondering if Patel wants to change that. Schiff has been given a pardon by Joe Biden related to his actions on the Jan. 6 Committee, although he claimed he didn't think it was a good idea for Biden to do it.
Musk's comment clearly ticked off Schiff, who in response posted a lame attack on President Donald Trump.
No, but if you’re looking for one, I am aware of a guy you work with that was indicted four times and convicted of thirty-four felonies. https://t.co/BZ4Lk0HGg3

I don't think lawfare is the flex he thinks it is. Many on X taunted him about that pardon from Biden.
Some pointed to this comment he made in 2020, in an effort to attack Trump.
December, 2020: Have you ever heard of somebody getting a preemptive pardon who is an innocent person?
— MAZE (@mazemoore) February 20, 2025
Adam Schiff: No.
Well done Adam, you actually said something true. Be thankful for that pardon. pic.twitter.com/lcZY1qQpLR
I think in some ways, Patel is the one Democrats were concerned about because he wants to come in and clean up the FBI. We've had so many things that were not fully investigated or prosecuted that need to be. It's about justice, not retribution. One has to think that some behind the scenes are losing their minds about what is going to be discovered and what Patel might pursue.
We've already seen the Trump team is going all in on getting things done in other areas. Vice President JD Vance detailed some of those areas at CPAC, with a lot of enthusiasm.

I would expect no less than "shock and awe" here as well, with a clear re-orientation.
So grab the popcorn, I think it's likely to be epic.
