Joe Biden made remarks from his vacation in St. Croix about the death of Jimmy Carter on Sunday night.
Biden stumbled through the remarks, although he seemed to be reading from a teleprompter. The remarks seemed to have been tailored to be similar to a formal statement that the White House released. But because it's Joe Biden. he had to make it about himself, inserting things about how Beau had cancer too and how Carter was like his father who said "Joey, a job is about more than a paycheck."

Exactly what did that have to do with Carter? It's just something Biden says in virtually all his speeches about his father. It's like he went into stump speech mode and had to say it.

But Biden couldn't even just stick to the straightforward remarks that had been written.
He got into trouble when he started taking questions from the reporters.
A reporter asked if there was anything he thought President Donald Trump could take away from President Carter. That's when Biden put on that weird Joker grin that he sometimes pulls out and said, "Decency, decency, decency."

"Everybody deserves a shot. Can you imagine Jimmy Carter walking by someone who needed something and just keep walking? Can you imagine Jimmy Carter referring to someone by the way they look or the way they talk?”
Jimmy Carter did some good things after he was president, but he had a horribly bad presidency, and he also faced questions of antisemitism, as our PJ Media colleague Stephen Kruiser observed.

But Biden can't even just stick to saying nice things about Carter, he has to insert an attack on Trump.
Americans got a better "shot" under Trump, as opposed to Biden, who crushed people with Bidenflation and the border crisis.
Meanwhile, imagine Biden of all people talking about "decency" when he is constantly lying and attacking other people. He called millions of Americans "garbage" and "extremists" because they supported his opponent. How was that even close to being decent? He's called Trump all kinds of names, even suggesting he would take him out and fight him. Isn't Joe the same guy who called a voter "fat" and a "dog-faced pony soldier"? And didn't he just pardon his son for anything he may have done over 11 years, including the things that could touch Joe himself?
Biden did do one service for Jimmy Carter. Biden unquestionably seized the crown of worst person ever to occupy the Oval Office.
Pretty sure Carter at least acknowledged all of his grandkids… https://t.co/rNeXQ54jjZ
