I think it would be hard to pick the Democrat in Congress who wins the award for saying the most ignorant/worst things. There are so many people who seem to be vying for the title.
One member who has to be right up there on the list would be Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX). I have to apologize since she's from my state, although not my district.
But during her appearance on MSNBC on Saturday, her attack on President-elect Donald Trump had a big problem. It was just bizarrely ignorant and wrong. It was funny that she can't even deal with Trump winning. She seemed to even stumble over how to express her outrage that Trump was going to be back in office.
Jasmine Crockett is the last person in America who should be questioning Trump’s intelligence.

"I can tell you this guy doesn't know who are friends are," Crockett whined.
"I can tell you he loves to pal around with Putin, and we know that Putin wants to bring back the former coalition they used to have. And that's why he went into Ukraine"
Um, what? What is she even talking about here?
First, there was no such "coalition" -- that's just bizarre Democrat "Russia collusion" hoax spinning.
But she's claiming Putin went into Ukraine because of Trump? Um, does she know when Putin invaded Ukraine? It was under Joe Biden in Feb. 2022, after Biden lifted sanctions on Nord Stream 2 and after he signaled that a "minor incursion" might not incur a big response from the U.S. Putin took one look at that and Biden's failure in Afghanistan and probably said, "Now's my chance!"

Putin also invaded Crimea under Barack Obama, who basically did a whole lot of nothing. What Putin didn't do was invade under Trump. Probably because Putin already knew he would have gotten a reaction that he wouldn't like. When Russian contractors got out of hand around U.S. troops in Syria, Trump dropped bombs on them. And did Rep. Crockett ever see this video of Trump scolding Germany for continuing to buy gas from Russia while we're having to pay to protect them from Russia?

We pay BILLIONS to protect Germany from Russia as Germany strengthens Russia by buying Russian oil
👉Putting an end this kind of STUPIDITY is exactly why @realDonaldTrump was elected

He wanted them to stop because it didn't make sense. He kept sanctions on Nord Stream 2 as well.
Trump also sent Javelins to Ukraine to fight back against Russia, when Obama wouldn't.
Not to mention this:
Trump confirms to the Wall Street Journal a story that's been previously reported, but with less direct confirmation: that he personally threatened Putin with bombing Moscow. New detail: Trump says he also threatened to bomb Putin's private residence pic.twitter.com/Bdn8N5KOT4

So much for Crockett's fantasy about a coalition. Trump was and is about peace through strength, so Putin knew not to tussle with him. He didn't have that same concern about Biden.
"I am here to say we've got to have really good people around Trump. Right now the people he's picking are not the best people," Crockett further said during the MSNBC interview.
"Somebody needs to explain to him in a very elementary way why we don't go after our friends, why we don't start wars. And honestly, that includes even tariff wars with our friends," she claimed.
Again, who started wars? It wasn't Trump. No new wars started under Trump. Indeed, he brought more peace to the Middle East. Meanwhile, Joe Biden continued to coddle Iran and then their proxies attacked Israel, blowing out the region into major war on Oct. 7, that also resulted in American hostages being grabbed by Hamas; they're still being held after more than a year.
It's not up to the Democrats to pick Trump's appointees. He's picking good people and at least the people he's picking know when Putin invaded Ukraine.
