Joe Biden is leaving France on Sunday to come back to the United States.
But before he left he visited the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery to lay a wreath. It was clear that he was trying to do that to take a shot at former President Donald Trump, who wasn't able to go to the cemetery because of the weather. That was backed up by records, but Biden is still spreading the debunked story that Trump blew it off because he claimed they were suckers.
Here's a collection of the folks who have said it never happened and that the weather was to blame.

Biden gave some remarks at the cemetery before he left.
First, he said every Marine knows about the battle of "Belleau Woods," getting the name wrong. It's "Belleau Wood." The cemetery contains American dead, most of who fought in the area in 1918.
Then he said he didn't want to make it personal (likely because he's been told by the powers behind the scene to stop doing that), but he did it anyway. He said that every time he shows up at a military site where "veterans are buried," he thinks about his Uncle Bosie and his son Beau.
Biden says being in France makes him think of his Uncle Bosie, whom he has repeatedly (and falsely) claimed was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea pic.twitter.com/8Vh4iOvpAR

While his uncle Ambrose Finnegan did die during the war in the Pacific when his plane experienced engine failure, and his son Beau died of cancer in 2015, not in battle, yet he keeps acting like it's the same. At least this time he didn't suggest his uncle was eaten by cannibals. Even being told not to, he still can't bring himself to stop making it about him.
Biden claimed that it was important to have alliances and not be isolationist. No one is claiming differently, people are talking about not pouring out endless money and/or being involved in wars that we don't have to be. But then he became confused about what he was speaking, talking about how important it was to have money for "Iraq."
BIDEN: "The idea we had to wait all those months just to get the money for Iraq that we, because we're waiting — I mean, it's just, it's just, it's not who we are!"

"The idea we had to wait all those months just to get the money for Iraq that we, because we're waiting — I mean, it's just, it's just, it's not who we are! It's not who America is," Biden claimed. He had no idea what he was talking about. He meant Ukraine, but he didn't even realize what he said. That's how far gone he is. He doesn't know what he's saying from one minute to the next.
It's also pretty disgusting that he tries to make such a visit political. He was asked about why he went: "You criticized President Trump for not coming here on his trip. What message are you hoping to send to voters by being here right now?"

REPORTER: You've criticized President Trump for not coming here on his trip. What message are you hoping to send to voters by being here right now?
BIDEN: Any other questions? pic.twitter.com/8sY2yDCbrR
At least this time, I think he must have stuck to the script not to answer. Someone at least had the sense to stop him from explicitly talking about Trump at the cemetery, even though he's repeated the falsehood elsewhere.
But it's pretty concerning when this is the guy we have occupying the Oval Office.
