Joe Biden certainly takes the cake for nerve.
He's done nothing about the border crisis that he helped to create by his own decisions, starting from the day he came in. Then in January, he started trying to blame the Republicans for the problems, saying they needed to pass a terrible bill before he could do anything, that he didn't have the power, when all he has to do is enforce the law.
He announced on Monday he would be going to the border. We're in the election season, and it looks like Biden finally realized that he was getting creamed on the border issue in the polls. Then too, Trump had announced last week he was going to the border. So, it looks like he is trying to copy or counter Trump.
Biden was in NYC for an interview with Seth Meyers for his late-night talk show. NBC's 30 Rockefeller Center was mobbed by anti-Israel protesters, as a result.

He was getting ice cream at Van Leeuwen ice cream parlor, next door to 30 Rock, when a reporter asked him about the border trip and Trump going. He claimed that he had been planning to go but "didn't know" that his "good friend" was also going.
NEW: Biden claims he "didn't know" President Trump will also be visiting the border on Thursday — a trip that was announced days ago.

Does anyone believe that this isn't an effort to counter Trump? And he's going to Brownsville, while Trump is going to the site of a lot of the problems, Eagle Pass. He refused to say what he would be doing while he was there. But it sounds like another photo-op with no real change to the crisis.
That's our fearless, ice-cream-eating leader.
The White House did finally issue a statement on the killing of nursing student Laken Riley, by an illegal alien who was let into the country under his policies, Jose Antonio Ibarra.
BREAKING: White House statement to @FoxNews re: murder of Laken Riley, allegedly at hands of Venezuelan illegal alien released into U.S. under Biden admin.

“We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Laken Hope Riley. People should be held…
It read:
We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Laken Hope Riley. People should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law if they are found to be guilty. Given this is an active case, we would have to refer you to state law enforcement and ICE.
Could it be any briefer? Could they do any less? It doesn't even say it's from Biden. There's no "Jill and I" or anything even indicating it comes from Biden.
This line is something else. "People should be held accountable...If they are found to be guilty." But since it's "active," they're not going to comment further. If the alleged murderer had been held accountable and been deported, this might not have happened. In addition to the murderer, one of the people who should be held accountable includes Biden himself. He can't even be moved to make even basic comments about the murder of this young woman.
Members of Congress including Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) lambasted Biden.
No statement from Biden? Just a few cold words from a press aide. Pathetic. https://t.co/rIClvjR1AU

Tragic and preventable. Joe Biden took 94 executive actions in his first 100 days to expose our southern border. 3 years later, Biden still refuses to take accountability for creating the worst border catastrophe in American history. His failure is having deadly consequences. https://t.co/JRjwFEtppl
