CNN Epic Meltdown Over Trump's SC Win and What People Think About 2020 Is a Sight to Behold

On Saturday, CNN had a big panel including Anderson Cooper, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Van Jones, and Jonah Goldberg to discuss former President Donald Trump's big win in the South Carolina primary. But they still couldn’t seem to quite absorb it. It was funny to watch as they struggled to cope:

Cooper had to admit to the "overwhelming results" and to the fact that the race was called immediately, right after the polls closed. Griffin called it the "greatest political comeback in history."

What they don't understand is that it wasn't really a "comeback" because Trump never really went away in the minds of many of the American people and likely grew stronger after they could compare his time in office to how horrible Joe Biden has been. It is a great achievement though, that no matter what has been thrown at him, he just seems to get stronger despite constant media hate since 2016.

There were attacks on Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and how dare he have the temerity to support Trump. They can't understand how so much of America sees Trump's policies have been better for them compared to Biden's.

Jonah Goldberg said he wanted there to be factions in the Republican Party -- how dare the Republican Party come together behind a candidate?

But you don't win by hoping that Trump will somehow fade away or that the endless lawfare will get him. You have to present something to the American people, and right now they're seeing that in Trump. It's fascinating how out of touch with most Americans the panel was. They're talking out of the Washington bubble and that's why it doesn't make any sense to them.

Van Jones was perhaps the greatest example of that, claiming that the Republican Party had abandoned the border -- as though any American would take that propaganda seriously, when that's one of the main issues for Republicans and Donald Trump, and when Joe Biden has done such a terrible job on the border for three years.

How clueless is this whole panel? Let's take a look at this next clip, where they asked the Republican voters coming out if they thought Biden "legitimately won the 2020 election." They were not happy with the "No" answer that 65 percent of the people gave.

"Only a third give the correct answer to this question," the CNN host says, upset that two thirds didn't give the "correct answer" to an opinion question. How dare you not comply with what CNN wants. Again, a complete miss on what middle America is thinking and why. But they're going to keep trying to tell Americans what to think and then they wonder why their ratings continue to head for the basement.
