Can we say again how annoying leftist activists are?
They never care about anyone else but themselves and their "cause" -- whatever the cause of the moment is.
It's all such an incredible waste of time and energy, and people just end up despising them because of how annoying they are. This is particularly true of the folks who block the roads or attack famous works of art. These are pointless protests except to demonstrate their craziness.
But some of the radicals were at it again on Sunday. This time they targeted a piece of art known around the world -- the "Mona Lisa" at the Louvre Museum in Paris. Two women threw pumpkin soup at the famous painting.

“What is more important?” the crazed activists shouted in French. “Art or the right to have a healthy and sustainable food system?”
The two nuts are members of the activist group called “Riposte Alimetaire,” or Food Response, which issued a statement saying the stunt was meant to highlight the need to protect the environment.
Fortunately, the painting is protected under glass, so they likely didn't hurt it. But how do they think throwing soup at a painting is supposed to help them get a "healthy and sustainable food system"? Or is that too much logic to ask of them? Indeed, let's think about what they did. They're demanding the "right" to a "healthy and sustainable food system." They're protesting the lack of food while wasting food. That makes sense (not). And what does the priceless piece of art have to do with climate change?
Officials at the museum are reportedly filing a complaint against the activists, who were reportedly immediately arrested. One would hope they spent some time in jail, enjoying the non-sustainable food. But I wouldn't bet on them being held long.
This isn't the first time the painting has been attacked.
In 2022 a self-proclaimed eco-warrior wearing a wig and lipstick tried to break through the protective glass and then threw a cake at the painting in a bizarre incident.
“Think of the Earth,” the man shouted. “There are people who are destroying the Earth. Think about it, artists tell you, think of the Earth. That’s why I did this.”
But all it earned them on X was scorn.
Warning for language:
Ah, yes. Defacing the Mona Lisa with soup will immediately make everyone stop burning & developing fossil fuels. Great idea

Imagine spending your hard-earned money, flying to Paris, standing in line at the Louvre to see the most iconic painting in the world and these losers do this in front of you. Selfish assholes https://t.co/3UCEOna1XI
