Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Lay Down the Law With Biden in Fiery Interviews: Don't Mess With Texas

Joe Biden tried to give a warning that they wanted Texas to clear out from the areas they were occupying to protect the border including Shelby Park, a boat launch, and the international bridge.. It's insane that they are willing to take a state to court and fight for the ability to NOT do their job, throw the border wide open, and cut out Texas' ability to defend itself.

But Texas isn't standing for any guff from Joe Biden. As our friends at Twitchy reported, both Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick laid down the law with Joe Biden, and said, "Don't Mess with Texas" in interviews. They both said that Biden better not try anything.

Patrick warned that the "biggest mistake the Biden administration could make" would be to start some kind of violence when Texas is "actually doing the job" that Biden should be doing. He said believed that the American people would see the Democrats were willing to take on a state trying to protect the people. "I don't think even Biden will make that mistake," Patrick exclaimed. "We're not looking for a confrontation, we are looking for them to do their damn job!"

Patrick said they've had help from other states' National Guards, and they welcomed it. "We're glad to have the backing of these brave, bold governors and lieutenant governors, and senators in the Republican party around this country," he said. "Because they know we're holding the line."

He said that they work together with the CBP every day, and that "it's Joe Biden who wants to come in and split us apart."

"He's trying to turn it into a political battle, into a fight with our state," Patrick continued. "Well, don't mess with Texas."

Abbott also laid down the law, during a call in to Tucker Carlson. (Interview begins at 1:40.)

Abbott said it would be a "bone-headed" move to federalize the Texas National Guard as some Democrats have urged. He said that in any event they were prepared for such an event, and it would not stop them from building the barriers they need to, to protect the state. Abbott said that you could "be assured" that there would be more National Guard from other states, and there were others there already. He said that about 10 states had been involved in sending them National Guard so far, but he expected more. Abbott said he also signed a law that gave any law enforcement officer the right to arrest any illegal alien.

We've seen the governors offering their support. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem was going to Texas on Friday, and Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt was sending the National Guard.

A senior CBP official told Fox, "The relationship between Border Patrol, Texas DPS, & TMD remains strong" and that "[b]ottom line: Border Patrol has no plans to remove infrastructure (c-wire) placed by Texas along the border. Our posture remains the same."

So far, nothing has gone down. So, it appears to be Biden backing off, if he had any ideas. And that's a win for Texas and the country.
