Joe Biden has created massive problems with his failure to secure the border properly. 

Illegal aliens have flooded into cities that don't have the resources to deal with them. They shouldn't have to — Joe Biden should be doing his job to protect the country. 

But he hasn't been doing it, and Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) excoriated Biden over a particular problem resulting from his failure: military families and veterans trying to attend the Army-Navy game on Dec. 9 at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts who are having their hotel reservations canceled because illegal aliens are being housed in the hotels.

Ernst said veterans and military families shouldn't have to compete for the rooms with illegal aliens, and Biden's actions were directly hurting the veterans and military families. 

"It’s clear: these cancellations are due to your administration’s decision to ship illegal immigrants across the country to sanctuary cities at taxpayers’ expense," Ernst wrote in the letter.

"Now, due to your untenable border crisis which has allowed nearly eight million illegal immigrants entry into the country, veterans and future servicemembers and their families will be unable to attend this year," she said.  [....]

It is flatly unacceptable for our veterans and military families to be displaced because of your administration’s failure to secure our southern border. Military families who have scrimped and saved to be able to afford a trip to the Army-Navy game should not have to compete with illegal immigrants for hotel room space," Ernst wrote.

According to what Mark Mansbach, the owner of New Jersey-based Hillsdale Travel, told Fox, 60 rooms from various hotels were canceled, "something he has never seen in his two decades of setting up military families for the game." As we reported, about 70 of his rooms were taken back for illegal aliens. About 40-50 families lost a place to stay, he said, and then had to figure out what to do. They have to worry about going elsewhere and paying more or not being able to go at all if the trip is now out of their price range. 

That's just the folks dealing with Mansbach. It's unclear exactly how many Americans are losing rooms because of this. And this is just one event — imagine the effect of this type of displacement across multiple events and locations. 

It says everything about the Biden team that this is their priority over Americans, especially the Americans who served and their families. Biden talks about those who serve and who only "stand and wait," referring to the families. But he has no problem as they are thrown under the bus here. 

Others joined Ernst in blasting Biden, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who said, "What a perfect encapsulation of the Biden Administration: illegal immigrants before Americans." 

It's outrageous that veterans and their families attending the Army Navy game have been booted from hotels to make space for illegal immigrants.
