Osama bin Laden's "Letter to America" has been available online for about 21 years. It attacks the U.S. and explains his reasoning behind the 9/11 attacks.
But it's suddenly being talked about again after discussion of it went viral mainly on TikTok with some Americans calling it a "revelation" and even some saying he was "right." According to Newsweek, some of the most popular clips have over a million each on them.
Journalist Yashar Ali captures some of the comments and writes how concerning it is.
Warning for graphic language:
Over the past 24 hours, thousands of TikToks (at least) have been posted where people share how they just read Bin Laden’s infamous "Letter to America," in which he explained why he attacked the United States.

The TikToks are from people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many of them say that reading the letter has opened their eyes, and they’ll never see geopolitical matters the same way again. Many of them — and I have watched a lot — say it has made them reevaluate their perspective on how what is often labeled as terrorism can be a legitimate form of resistance to a hostile power. This is not limited to TikTok; similar videos have been posted on other social media platforms.
Ali notes how the Guardian has now removed the Osama letter they had up since 2002, leading to more conspiracy theories.
The letter is a festival of crazy and feeds right into the anti-American, settler colonialism, oppressor/oppressed binary that the left is always pushing. If you want to wallow in the crazy, here it is.
What he wrote was propaganda. He tries to justify himself by talking about Palestine, but then he also says it's because America stands in the way of Sharia and that it is wrong because our Constitution doesn't allow for a crazy Islamic theocracy. So yes, he attacks us for our freedoms, because we are who we are. Why would anyone think that was right? Why would any American forget what he did to this country?
People also seem to be skipping over where he talks about the Jews controlling everything. Did they read the part about Sharia? Are they agreeing with that?
As some noted, here's a little reminder to those folks who think Osama had anything worthy to say.
Currently, on TikTok in the U.S., there's a surge in the circulation of Osama Bin Laden's "Letter to America," attracting attention from young Americans who are embracing the anti-Semitic ideology propagated by the Islamist terrorist.

Some thought this was being pushed on TikTok for a reason at this point, that the Chinese were throwing up an algorithm in the face of Joe Biden as he met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
Not a coincidence that just as Xi Jinping comes to America, his disinformation platform starts elevating Bin Laden's "truth" that terrorism is justified resistance against America. The Chinese are using the algorithm to send a message contrary to what Xi says to Biden's face. https://t.co/f1WyBq5jzu

Yes, that's an issue as is the leftist attempt to control and influence media. But it's not just limited to TikTok. The problem is that this anti-American attitude has been stoked by the left for decades now, and this is the result that we are seeing with all the accompanying ignorance. If you are properly educated with the facts, you understand what ranting nonsense the letter is and the good that America has brought to the world. But it's not just the letter. You then would understand that the left is selling you garbage on so many other things The left stoked Occupy and the BLM as well.
The point is to stoke anti-American chaos. That's the thing that truly needs to be changed here.
