Liz Cheney Is Asked If She's Running - Her Answer Is Hilariously Clueless

I'm not sure where people think the lane is for a presidential run by former Wyoming representative Liz Cheney.

She was seriously rejected by the people of Wyoming — by almost 40 points in her reelection bid — after she threw in with the Democrats on the Jan. 6 Committee against former President Donald Trump. She made the whole of her reelection about her hatred for Donald Trump, and that didn't go over well with the people of Wyoming. Funny thing: The people that she was supposed to serve wanted her to care about their issues and represent them, and they didn't think that she was interested.

But she was still being asked on Sunday her opinion about the upcoming 2024 race and whether she's going to be a presidential candidate for 2024 by CNN's Jake Tapper.

First, Tapper asked Cheney if she would vote for Joe Biden over Donald Trump, even though she disagreed with Biden on virtually every issue. Cheney couldn't even answer that question in a straight manner after all the harm that Joe Biden has brought on the nation, saying she'd have to see how things would "unfold" and claiming that "Donald Trump is the single most dangerous threat we face." She keeps obsessing over Trump, under whom we all had it better, versus that horror show that the Democrats have brought, from the economy to a foreign policy that has now led to all kinds of wars.

Tapper asked if she would be one of the candidates, and she wouldn't commit to an answer about herself, saying that she would be devoting herself to electing "serious" people. What did that translate to for her? People who don't support Donald Trump. She claimed that "Trump folks" were trying to question the results of the election and that it could be a problem [if there were Trump supporters as representatives] and the election is thrown to the House of Representatives.

Should one remind her that if that happens, that's part of the Constitution? Or that all kinds of Democrats have questioned elections? That there isn't anything wrong with questioning or challenging elections. But it seems she's fine with Democrat election deniers; she saves all her hate for Trump daring to question the election.

As far as her running for president in 2024, who would be voting for her if she can't even win Wyoming? What lane would be her constituency? Democrats who praise her because she went after Trump are voting for Biden. Republicans are voting for Trump or one of the other folks in the running for the nomination now. Why would they need to go to Cheney when her portfolio is essentially just "I hate Trump"? She doesn't have any chance running as a Republican. The only chance she does have is as a Democrat, and that would be great fun to see if she would pull votes from Biden.
