It's hard to quantify how much the Biden team has blown it when it comes to Hamas' attack on Israel.
My colleague Bob Hoge wrote about what a gigantic intelligence failure it had to be to miss such a carefully planned effort. As I noted, even a week ago, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was bragging about how "quiet" the Middle East was and how they had worked to "de-escalate" and "integrate" the area. That didn't age well. It showed what a clown show the Biden team is.
Now, not only are at least 600 Israelis dead and many kidnapped, but that number now reportedly involves Americans as well. Fox's Will Cain said the Israeli ambassador to the UN told him that "dozens" of Americans are being held hostage.
A lot of people are looking at the Biden team's policies and how they may have factored into the attack. In particular, many were looking at the deal where the Biden team cut loose $6 billion - now being held in Qatar -- that can be utilized by Iran for humanitarian reasons like food and medicine. As I noted in a prior story, money is fungible, and if they know they wouldn't need money for things like food and medicine, as well as the other "humanitarian" things to which this applies, then this frees up that money so that they now can use it for bad actions such as terrorism. It's a simple thought, but one that seems lost on members of the Biden administration like NSC spokesperson Adrienne Watson, who was trying to convince people that the deal had no effect on the attack—a stunningly naive position.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken was asked about the money on "Meet the Press" by the host Kristen Welker: "What do you say about the argument that money is fungible — so Iran may have known this money is coming and used other funds to help fund this attack?" Blinken's response was unbelievable. After having the Biden team go all in on Saturday, saying it had no effect, on Sunday, Blinken's answer was that Iran is always going to support terrorism.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken: "Iran has unfortunately always used and focused its funds on supporting terrorism" pic.twitter.com/t8kyDqOHk9
"Iran has unfortunately always used and focused its funds on supporting terrorism," Blinken said.
Oh. So why would you ever want to make things easier on them by cutting them access to more funds to help them out? And that's exactly what the Biden team did, knowing exactly what Blinken just admitted. He admits it and doesn't even seem bothered by the enormity of what he's saying.
This unfortunately is who we have at the switch right now, a complete clown show administration that seems focused on getting everything wrong, to the great harm of the the United States.
In other words, you knew Iran would use the money for terrorism https://t.co/3VTzNEmc2P

Exactly, so why would you unfreeze $6 BILLION and loosen sanctions?

Make no mistake - the Biden Administration’s weakness has led to the slaughtering, of innocent Israelis, and quite possibly, Americans. https://t.co/PUdjEWycrp
Knowing Iran has, in Sec. Blinken's own words, "always used its funds on supporting terrorism," he gave them $6 billion.

Knowing the risks of giving Palestinian aid would be giving funds to Hamas for terrorism, he said yes.
He knew the risks, and did it anyway. Outrageous. https://t.co/vjuI0BQtfS
