We’ve been reporting on some of the media takes this past week that seem to be suddenly taking the gloves off when it comes to Joe Biden. For a long time, they’ve sold us this fiction that Biden was just this nice grandfatherly man when in fact, as we have been reporting for years, he’s been anything but.
When someone has no problem being nasty and yelling at people in public, one has to believe it’s probably worse behind the scenes. Biden’s been losing it on people in public for a long time, at least since his first run for president in the 1988 race.
Can anyone forget this one?
Flashback to 1987, when Joe Biden freaked out at a man who asked him where he went to law school. The entirety of Biden's response was a lie.

Most of what Biden claimed was then disproven.
There have been so many incidents since then, including calling voters “dog-faced pony soldier,” “fat,” and “full of sh*t.” This clip should have been a red flag for everyone, but it wasn’t. Look at how he loses it on this poor guy who has the temerity to tell him the truth and notice how Biden is wrong about virtually everything, including “AR-14s.”

That’s the real Joe Biden, and we’ve known it for years. If you’re willing to act like that while trying to court voters, you have no filter, and there’s a big problem.
But the bigger question is: Why is the media suddenly publishing what has been obvious for years — that he’s a pretty nasty character? Axios noted his proclivity for screaming at staff, including such golden words as “G** dammit, how the f**k don’t you know this?!,” “Don’t f**king bullsh*t me!” and “Get the f**k out of here!” That doesn’t exactly sound like a kindly grandfather.
All from this weekend.

Axios even coined a new nickname for Biden: “Old Yeller” (though, in fairness to our Deputy Managing Editor Susie Moore, she coined it months ago).

The Atlantic said it was time to “Step Aside, Joe Biden.” The NY Times’ Maureen Dowd attacked Biden over his lack of decency in failing to recognize his granddaughter, including noting in her title it was “seven grandkids,” not six, as Biden frequently says.
It sure looks like the knives are out for Biden. The only question is, why now? Could the powers that be finally have concluded there’s no way that they can get him through a campaign with all his issues? That he’s just going to be too far gone for them to hide it? Or is this the media’s effort to move them in that direction?
Whatever it is, there’s no missing Gavin Newsom, positioning himself on the side, trying to propound on issues and act like a candidate, although he hasn’t declared. Media wants you to notice him.
Gavin Newsom’s star is ascending — and he’s bringing a whole constellation with him.

I don’t know what Newsom is doing if he isn’t auditioning because he sure looks like he’s running for something, although not declared. But then there’s the problem of Kamala. To get Newsom in there, they will have to somehow account for what happens to Kamala, or face losing a big chunk of votes by just moving Newsom right past her. So if there were any thoughts of Joe stepping aside, that would also have to be accounted for.
