Authorities in Nashville have confirmed a shooting at the Covenant School, which is a private Christian elementary school for students up to the sixth grade.
Multiple people have been shot, according to the Nashville Fire Department. At least three people in addition to the shooter are dead, at least three students were shot in the attack.

The Metro Nashville PD confirmed the shooter had been killed in a statement.

“An active shooter event has taken place at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Dr. The shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead. Student reunification with parents is at Woodmont Baptist Church, 2100 Woodmont Blvd.,” the department wrote in a statement.
The local ATF has dispatched personnel to the scene to help out.
Reporter Hannah McDonald provided an emotional account of the incident. McDonald’s mother-in-law works in the school and just happened to step away from her desk, so was okay.
