Anna Paulina Luna was elected to Congress to represent Florida’s 13th District.
But she says she’s already facing some nasty behavior which she believes is because she’s standing up to the “swamp.”
Luna says another female member called her to vote for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). She said “another member” was “inappropriate” and “threatening.”

She didn’t detail precisely what was said. But she’s one of about 20 Republicans who are standing against McCarthy’s effort to become speaker. At last count, she had joined the group in voting for Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) for Speaker of the House. According to one report, Luna said “some members felt very disrespected” by McCarthy during the conference meeting yesterday. She says it “pushed them into a category” where “I don’t think that they’ll ever vote” for McCarthy.

But then on Tuesday evening, she also faced a disgusting effort against her by Daily Beast reporter Zachary Petrizzo, who was trying to grill her about ridiculous accusations over things like being a “witch” and having a “relationship” with another member.
When you’re a woman who stands up to the swamp, you are sexually harassed leaving your office, accused of having sex with members, being a witch, and more lies. This is why we must drain the swamp. This is not journalism. Is this how female reps are treated? pic.twitter.com/ufbU6c6X0Z

“When you’re a woman who stands up to the swamp, you are sexually harassed leaving your office, accused of having sex with members, being a witch, and more lies,” Luna declared. “This is why we must drain the swamp. This is not journalism. Is this how female reps are treated?”
She asked the Capitol Police to walk with her to her car, but it’s not clear from the video. It looks like they didn’t, which is another problem because protecting members would be one of their basic duties.
While Petrizzo peppered her with many questions, Luna kept her composure and refused to respond to such nonsensical allegations.
The reporter is referencing a letter that Luna’s law firm reportedly sent to Matt Tito, who had considered a run against Luna in the primary, asking him to stop slandering her after he made comments including the witch comment on a radio show.
Luna has previously said that the allegations are not true.
But the liberal media is truly reaching low when they try to do things like this.
