There’s a troubling breaking report from San Francisco.
There was a home invasion at the home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). She was reportedly not home but her husband was and he was “violently assaulted,” according to the Pelosi spokesman, Drew Hammill.
“Early this morning, an assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco and violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi,” spokesperson Drew Hammill said. “The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation.
“Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery,” Hammill added.
They thanked the first responders and asked for privacy. It’s not clear yet what the motivation for the attack is.
San Francisco has become very crime-ridden and the home is on the street. They reportedly have had security at the house, so it’s not clear what happened to the security here.
We will update the story as we find out more.
