People tend to think of Texas as a red state and a bastion of conservatism. It is. But even in Texas, you still have radical crazy sometimes show its face.

In Dallas, a gay bar hosted a “Drag the Kids to Pride” event, aimed at little kids, with even babies in attendance. Drag queens danced in front of the little children, while the kids were encouraged to give them money. Some of the kids were even invited on stage to dance with the performers.

From The Blaze:

A poster for the “Drag the Kids to Pride” event claims it is the “ultimate family friendly pride experience.”

“Our under 21 guests can enjoy a special Mr. Misster Mocktails while the moms and dads can sip on one of our classic Mr. Misster Mimosa Towers,” the poster reads. “Do you want to hit the stage with the queens? We have FIVE limited spots for young performers to take the stage solo, or with a queen of their choosing! Come hangout with the Queens and enjoy this unique pride experience, fit for guests of all ages!”

Warning for graphic language and content:

Behind the dance floor, in neon, it had signs that read “It’s not gonna lick itself” and “I licked it so it’s mine.”

One video even showed them teaching the kids how to walk the runway and pose. No, this is not grooming kids to be drag performers at all…

Pictures and videos were taken by Tyler Hansen, Isabella Riley, and Aldo Buttazzoni, who were concerned about the event.

Alex Stein of The Blaze tried to attend, but they wouldn’t let him in and assaulted him at the door.

There were multiple confrontations between the protesters and the attendees outside the bar. The attendees, some in masks, refused to let this man walk down the street, and plainclothes police intervened. But the police seemed to be on the side of the attendees, rather than the guy trying to walk down the street.

One of the attendees even spits on a woman who was recording what was going on. She reportedly filed a report with the police.

The group Protect Texas Kids was behind the protest and said that the police got the children out of the bar. WFAA said the police told them they were only there for crowd control. So, it’s not clear if they did anything regarding the children at the event.

Children shouldn’t be in bars or any place where adults are dancing provocatively, much less dancing with them or being taught to give them money. There was other video that I’m not even going to post that is just wrong to be doing in front of kids. Any of the adults involved in this should check themselves.
