We previously reported on the shooting in the New York City subway.
The latest reports indicate that at least 16 people were injured and at least eight people were shot. Four people suffered smoke inhalation and one of the injured was a pregnant woman.
The shooting happened on the train. Witnesses described the shooter as a black man in an orange construction worker-type vest, wearing a gas mask. They also noted that he dropped a device, believed to be a smoke bomb. There were other smoke bombs found on the scene.
The shooting took place before the 36th Street station and when the train got in, everyone poured out and multiple smoke bombs were found by the authorities.
But now there’s a video of the shooter on the train. You can see it here, with the shooter trying to get into this subway car in the back of this video. Then you can see him pointing the gun and shooting.

Fortunately, he doesn’t seem to be able to get through the door and all these people had incredible presence of mind as they waited to get off the train, knowing he was in the next car. One person still had his coffee/drink, another guy didn’t even get up from his seat.
The shooter is still on the loose.
