Chief Justice Roberts Kicks the Legs out From Under NPR, Liberals on Mask Smear

I reported earlier how folks on the left couldn’t give up pushing NPR’s mask smear, even in the face of Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Justice Gorsuch issuing a joint statement saying there was no discord between them and that she had never asked him to wear a mask. So then, obviously, he never refused to wear one on her behalf.

Liberal media types then picked apart the language of what Gorsuch and Sotomayor said, to try to justify their mania and allow them to attack Gorsuch.

Then NPR issued a statement saying they stood by Nina Totenberg’s reporting.

Totenberg never reported that Justice Sotomayor asked Justice Gorsuch to wear a mask, nor did she report that anyone admonished him. She did report that Chief Justice Roberts; ‘in some form asked the other justices to mask up’ – and Gorsuch was the only one who did not.

Now, Chief Justice John Roberts has issued a statement just cutting NPR off at the legs, saying he never asked anyone to mask up. so this report was false.

All the liberal media types still trying to push this nonsense just were done in. Imagine how bad the lie is, that it moves three justices of the Supreme Court to debunk it. They have to think it’s very wrong to step out of their normal reticence to comment by putting out those statements.

But the liberal media types are still throwing tantrums over it, even after Roberts’s dispositive statement. The liberals don’t care it isn’t true, because they so want it to be true to feed their narrative. This is a post-reality world for them.
