We’ve been reporting on the exodus of Kamala Harris staff members as they flee working for her. One wonders how bad it must be when you have what some might consider a high profile, desirable political position but then run because you can’t take it anymore.

As we reported, one of the problems allegedly is that she doesn’t do the work to prepare herself such as reading the briefing materials, and then blames her staff when it blows up on her.

“It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work,” the staffer said. “With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully, and it’s not really clear why.”

Former staff put the blame right on Harris.

“Who are the next talented people you’re going to bring in and burn through and then have [them] pretend they’re retiring for positive reasons?” former Harris aide Gil Duran told the paper.

Duran said that Harris’ “destructive patterns” were behind the recent turmoil and exit of Sanders and communications director Ashley Etienne.

“One of the things we’ve said in our little text groups among each other is what is the common denominator through all this and it’s her,” Duran said.

It sounds like her problems aren’t something staff can fix or paper over. Only she can do the work to prepare herself.

But it looks like she’s concentrating only on the spin if the latest move by one of her staffers is any indication. What to do in the face of the bad press about how awful it is to work for her?

Now, I don’t know about you, but that looks like a hostage photo to me. Is Kamala off in the wings somewhere holding a weapon on him saying, “We have your family in the warehouse”? Because that’s what it looks like. For someone who claims that he loves his job, he doesn’t look very happy. Give us the password to let us know that you are okay, David. And what the heck is with that picture of Kamala on the wall — and what’s going on in it? Talk about Soviet propaganda — that’s what this looks like.

Pro-tip, David? If you have to post this, it means there’s a problem.

It must be getting worse because at least in July when they previously put out propaganda pics after reports about the staff being unhappy, they had more staff posting and they could even manage some smiles in the attempt.

Now, staffers like Symone Sanders and Peter Velz who were involved in that effort are reportedly out the door or on their way out.
