Pilot Tells Tucker Who Really Has Power When It Comes to Vaccine Mandates

We’ve been reporting on the issues with Southwest Airlines, as well as suggestions that “issues” might hit American Airlines, as well — a company whose pilots association has also spoken out against vaccine mandates.

Yesterday, two things went viral on the subject — a Gadsden flag hung out of a Southwest pilot’s window and a pilot speaking out against the mandates.

Both Southwest and their pilots association have denied that there is an organized employee demonstration in regard to the vaccine, despite reports to the contrary. The CEO there is “any evidence” that it’s related to the vaccine mandates, but at the same time said that, while he was against them, Joe Biden had mandated it for federal contractors — and major airlines are federal contractors. The Pilots Association has also made clear they are against the mandates — they’ve filed a court action against it.

But now, a commercial pilot, Joshua Yoder, who is the co-founder of U.S. Freedom Flyers — a group standing against the mandates by Biden — spoke out on Tucker Carlson’s show last night. One of the points he made was the power that groups like pilots have, if they choose to stand together against the government mandates.

From Fox News:

“My motive for resisting it is primarily religious for myself. Among my friends I saw a need. Many of us don’t want to take this. People were being coerced, I believe in freedom and I’m here to support the freedom of my fellow employees and all people across this country. I’m not going to take a mandate, I’m not going to be forced to do something I don’t believe in,” he said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Yoder warned that if the warning from the past weekend isn’t heeded, the effect of thousands of American workers being fired en masse will have devastating and lasting effects on the U.S. economy as well as everyday life for all Americans:

“If you have flights reduced by 30% because 30% of pilots are fired because they won’t take the vaccine, this is going to affect how your goods get here from overseas, how they are distributed to the store,” he said.

“The same thing is happening with the truckers, it’s happening in the shipping industry. Those Amazon boxes that typically show up in two days, you might be looking at three weeks.”

Carlson made the point it was all about a power grab. But then Yoder responded that we have the control.

“First of all, we have all the control, and the control comes from a simple word, and that is ‘no’,” he said. “We just don’t need to comply.”

“As far as I’m concerned I will never promote a sick-out or a work action that is illegal. With U.S. Freedom Flyers, the organization I’m with, we will never promote such a thing. With that being said, we also cannot control the actions of individuals. And I think that you will see massive disruptions in supply chain and in your travel if we just stand up and say no.

“If these companies fire us and they fire 30% of the workforce, aircraft are going to stop moving and it’s going to affect you. It’s going to affect your air travel and it’s going to affect the economy.”

People have to stand together or they will all fall separately.

Biden wants to put blame on the unvaccinated. But it’s Biden stampeding people into mandates that’s leading to people getting fired and adding to shortages already out there from pandemic restrictions and other issues. That’s putting people at risk, not just for getting packages when they anticipate them, but for things like getting basic goods to live on, being able to safely fly, or get adequate medical care. Hundreds of hospital workers have been fired or suspended across the country, for example. That’s putting people at risk and that’s all on the people pushing the mandates.
