NY Gov. Accidentally Skewers Dems With Odd Comment on Why People Aren't Getting Vaccinated

Gov. Kathy Hochul hasn’t been the governor of New York for very long. But she’s already racking up a list of questionable comments and actions that are making people wonder if she’s any better than the last booted New York governor.

Hochul actually chastised unvaccinated New Yorkers, saying they weren’t listening to God and telling a Christian church service she needed them to be her “apostles” to spread the message of her theology.

“Yes, I know you’re vaccinated, you’re the smart ones, but you know, there are people out there who aren’t listening to God and what God wants,” Hochul said at a Christian Cultural Center service. “You know, this, you know who they are.”

“I need you to be my apostles, I need you to go out and talk about it and say, we owe this to each other,” the Democrat continued. “We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another. And how do you show that love, but to care about each other enough to say, please get vaccinated because I love you. I want you to live.”

Hochul has also pushed having state workers fired if they don’t get vaccinated, even demanding by order that state health workers be vaccinated or face termination. Some have now been fired. So much for the “essential workers” of last year. As an added twist of the knife, Hochul has said she also would deny them unemployment benefits if they were fired for not being vaccinated. Nice to know that we now don’t operate by law anymore but we have these fiefdoms with dictators imposing their will on people.

But now she has another comment out and it’s just downright strange.

“I heard so many people say they’re afraid to go get vaccines because they’d have to get on the subway and they’re afraid of being assaulted,” Hochul claimed.

Now maybe it’s just me, because I’m from the area (before moving to sanity), but I’m willing to bet there isn’t one person who isn’t getting a vaccine because they’re afraid of getting on the subway in New York City. What an incredibly ridiculous comment.

But let’s just roll with that for a minute. Who’s in charge of the New York state government? Who’s in charge of the New York City government? If people are that afraid of going on the subway, whose fault is that? Is Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul admitting that there’s been such a significant failure of their governance that people are cowering in their homes, afraid to come out even for a vaccine? That’s what it sounds like she’s saying. Then maybe if that’s true, there’s a far bigger problem that they need to be addressing than folks who are not getting vaccinated. But that seems to fly right over her head, she has no real idea what she’s saying there. This really is just one more example of why Democrats shouldn’t be in power.

I know it’s New York, couldn’t we have gotten a sane governor after Andrew Cuomo?
