Yes, Joe Biden, Putin Is Testing You -- Here's the Latest Concerning Example

Joe Biden has said that he doesn’t think Vladimir Putin is testing him.

Either he’s just trying to avoid the question or he’s truly that ignorant.

Yes, Joe Biden, Vladimir Putin is testing you. If you still don’t understand that by now, they just gave the latest concerning example.

Remember when Nikita Khrushchev moved missiles into Cuba to test the weak new president John F. Kennedy? It was after a meeting at which Kennedy acted like a lightweight and didn’t do well.

Now, just before the Putin meeting in Geneva, the Russian Navy was conducting massive drills a few hundred miles off the coast of Hawaii, causing the U.S. to have to scramble three F-22s out of Honolulu to respond. Russia claimed it was its largest drill in the Pacific since the Cold War.

From Fox News:

The Russian Defense Ministry said the drills involved “up to 20 surface combatants, submarines and support vessels.”

TASS, the Russian news agency, reported that the ships from the Primorye Flotilla of All-Arms Forces have been working on “tactical maneuvers” in the waters. The exercises began on June 10, and included the missile cruiser “Varyag,” and an anti-submarine ship “Admiral Panteleev,” Reuters reported. The report said TU-142MZ bombers were also taking part in the drill.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported that the military appeared to be tight-lipped on the F-22 deployment from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and cited an “irregular air patrol” that had been requested by the Federal Aviation Administration. A KC-135 Stratotanker was also deployed, the report said.

“U.S. Indo-Pacific Command is monitoring the Russian vessels operating in international waters in the Western Pacific,” Capt. Mike Kafka, a spokesman, told CBS News in a statement.

Meanwhile, over in Europe, Biden has not been calling Putin out — he wouldn’t even confirm his prior criticism of Putin saying he didn’t see any point in bringing that up there. Biden even praised Putin calling him “bright, tough” and even a “worthy adversary.”

This is despite the drills and despite the cyber attacks.

Biden met with Putin today and we’ll be having more on that shortly. Can we hope that he’ll be tougher not only in the meeting but in actual fact? One would hope so, but given his prior remarks, I’m not holding out a lot of hope for that.
