Brian Stelter Gets Roasted With a Little Truth by C-Span Callers and It's Glorious

It’s pretty hard to pick the worst of the liberal media ‘journalists.’

Even if we narrowed the choice down to just folks from CNN, it’s still a pretty tough fight since there are so many choices.

There’s no doubt that Brian Stelter would have to be right up there. He’s venturing out of his bubble at CNN to push the launch of his book about how President Donald Trump and Fox News are such distorters of the truth without the slightest irony at all about what he has done and what network he is on.

But when he’s out of his bubble and not on his own show with the ability to put off reality, Stelter got hit with a little truth.

Unfiltered people called into his appearance on C-Span’s “Washington Journal” on Thursday and roasted him big time.

Tammy Bruce took notice of it and covered it with Kayleigh McEnany and Karl Rove.

According to Fox, Gordon in Kansas asked Stelter to “admit he and his network are a bunch of liars about Donald Trump.”

Kevin from Indiana called him the “biggest minster of misinformation I have ever heard and I’m a news junkie.”

“This gentleman told the American people, and his news organization…for four years that there was Russia collusion and actually, after all the $35-$40 million dollars and government investigation, we come to find out there was zero. Zero collusion from the Trump administration and Russia,” the caller continued. “His stories absolutely evolve.”

Rick from Georgia reminded people of how CNN had promoted the execrable Michael Avenatti as something credible, even a potential presidential candidate. “I was just wondering if you still feel like Michael Avenatti is the greatest thing in the world and should run for president of the United States. My suggestion is, whatever CNN says, do the opposite and you’ll do fine.”

One caller did prompt an angry response from Stelter when he accused him of lies. “What lies?” Stelter responded.

Kayleigh McEnany responded listing multiple false stories that CNN spread including the Lafayette Park lie and the false Russian bounties story. She then skewered CNN and said maybe that explains why CNN’s ratings are down 53% since January. Karl Rove noted that “ordinary Americans” have a “lot of common sense.” They’re the ones seeing the “prices going up” and they’re hearing about “wokeness” but “they’re already awake.”

Indeed they are and they certainly seem to have Stelter’s number. That’s a problem for both the media and the Democrats going forward. The American people not going to be put off by the latest media narrative when they’re getting hit in the pocketbook with Biden’s bad policies, no matter what Stelter tries to sell people. If he had any self-awareness, he might take some of this criticism to heart. But that isn’t happening anytime soon.
