Biden WH Working on Development of 'Vaccine Passport,' NY Already Has One Underway

If we told you at the start of all this we’d be here now, with the state trying to control so much of our movement, you probably wouldn’t have believed it. Even our friend, Dr. Anthony Fauci said at the beginning, there are things, for example, that China was able to do to help against the virus, but we with our freedoms could never do.

Well, prepare for more problematic control. Welcome to the development of the “vaccine passport.”

According to The Washington Post, the Biden Administration is working on such a “passport” that would “allow Americans to prove they have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus as businesses try to reopen.”

More normalcy? Where the government is essentially putting a requirement on who can go where? And who will then have access to your ‘status,’ as good in the eyes of the government versus bad in the eyes of the government?

In other words, be prepared to be refused access to public events, cruises, businesses, maybe even planes if you refuse to show your vaccination status — or if you haven’t gotten the vaccine.

WaPo was citing five different officials and said that the White House is coordinating government agencies involved in the work, with a goal of announcing updates in coming days, said one official.

The passports are expected to be free and work through apps on smartphones, with a scannable code similar to an airline boarding pass. Americans without smartphone access should be able to print out the passports, developers have said.

Now there are places who already have them underway, like New York state, that will be used to get into events and businesses. It will be a QR code called the ‘Excelsior Pass’ that the businesses can scan to show a negative test result or proof of vaccination, as the NY Post reported.

Oh, guess who the CDC is working with, according to WaPo? Those folks who told us falsehoods about the virus to begin with.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is participating in the WHO’s effort to create “digital vaccination certificates,” also is preparing to help advise on the passport rollout. The health agency says it is expecting to play a role in determining which organizations will credential and issue the certificates, in addition to informing the public, according to CDC documents reviewed by The Post.

If you haven’t gotten vaccinated yet, or perhaps aren’t inclined to, this they think will “motivate you.”

There is evidence vaccine passports could motivate skeptical Americans to get shots. Several vaccine-hesitant participants at a recent focus group of Trump voters led by pollster Frank Luntz suggested their desire to see family, go on vacation and resume other aspects of daily life outpaced fear of the shots, particularly if travel companies and others moved to require proof of vaccination.

Well, that’s one way to put it. You’re going to basically force people to get them in order to be able to go anywhere or do anything. Gee, that will really make skeptical people trust you more.

Remember our friend Ezekiel Emanuel?

Emanuel added that the passports will be an element of global travel – not just domestic policy. Key aviation and travel associations on March 22 called on the White House to finalize its vaccine credential plan by May, saying it was essential for the safe resumption of international travel.

Emanuel said that it shouldn’t be viewed as a government mandate, that it has to be [people’s] choice, as it were.” Uh huh, we’ve already seen how easy it is to stampede businesses into compliance; so, it’s easy to see that with the government behind it, it will be a requirement soon everywhere.

Show us your papers, comrade.
