So Joe Biden may have figured out how to deal with the bad news of the crisis at the border.

What’s he going to do? Finally admit he’s been wrong and go back to President Donald Trump’s policies that stemmed the tide of illegal immigration? If not that, enact policies to stem the flood?

Nope. Not at all.

Instead, he’s going to stop the bad news about the crisis by preventing the CBP from talking to the media. If you don’t hear about it, then it can’t be happening, right? He learned much from the guy he used to work for, Barack Obama. It isn’t about the facts or the truth, but how you spin the media and the Democrats are always about doing that.

According to an NBC report, the Biden team has imposed a information blackout on the border. They are restricting the information that Border Patrol agents and actor chiefs can share with the media and the agents are referring to it as a “gag order,” according to former and current CBP officials.

Border Patrol officials have been told to deny all media requests for “ride-alongs” with agents along the southern land border; local press officers are instructed to send all information queries, even from local media, to the press office in Washington for approval; and those responsible for cultivating data about the number of migrants in custody have been reminded not to share the information with anyone to prevent leaks, the officials said.

Multiple news organizations, including NBC News, have requested access to or photos from inside overcrowded border processing facilities holding unaccompanied migrant children; they have been denied. The DHS press office released one photo late Tuesday of a mother and child undergoing a health screening inside a border facility, but no wider shots to show conditions or sleeping arrangements.

NBC notes, pointedly, that this was different even at the height of the separation controversy under the Trump Administration that they still allowed media in to tour facilities to see things.

While the Trump administration allowed border ride-alongs for journalists during the pandemic, there has been “not a single one since January 20,” one of the current officials speaking to NBC said.

This of course is madness if Biden thinks he can get away with this with social media being what it is now and obviously some officials talking anyway because they think Biden is wrong and people should know what is going on. No wonder Kamala Harris had nothing to say about what was happening at the border when she was asked yesterday.

So where is the media condemnation of this latest Biden move, once again, against basic transparency? Where are Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and the other Democrats to decry this?
