Meghan McCain did not support the re-election of President Donald Trump.
But when she heard what Katie Couric said about Trump supporters, she let loose, as we reported.
.@MeghanMcCain: "If we’re all just deplorable and need to be deprogrammed, as Katie Couric said, then honestly they can go to hell, because I don’t need to be deprogrammed. I just have a different perspective on how the government should be run." pic.twitter.com/lHFpFRqWNM

“In regards to Democrats,” she said. “what’s interesting to me is that I had sort of assumed after President Biden won, that the feeling of unity and coming together would be….something that would be happening, that, that Democrats would be wanting Republicans to come together with them to go forward.”
Yeah, no, that was a lie, but please continue.
“Instead, we’re hearing a lot of language from people like Katie Couric that Republicans like me need to be ’deprogrammed,’ that we’re brainwashed, that 74 million Americans are basically irredeemable people, that, that we don’t need to communicate towards, and we don’t need to in any way have anything to do with. And I think it’s horribly dangerous for the country and I also think it’s horribly dangerous for Democrats.”
She said if they didn’t care about unity they should care about the politics of it, pointing out there are 4 in 10 Republicans who are feeling very disenfranchised. She said if Biden wanted to have a big tent party and include these people, great, but if they didn’t (if they continued on this same path), if they wanted to continue on “we’re all just deplorable and need to be deprogrammed, as Katie Couric said, they can go to hell because I don’t need to be deprogrammed!”
Now, she may have fallen for Biden’s act (mostly because of the animosity between her father and President Donald Trump), but that surely is the proper response to the nerve of these Democrats who want to dehumanize Trump supporters.
If they truly want to talk about people who need deprogramming and who need to stop trying to manipulate the public, it’s the Democrats. It isn’t the Republicans who paid for a dossier of Russian disinformation to undermine their opponents and then spent four years pushing a collusion hoax that thousands of their followers fell for.
Meghan McCain is right about this being very dangerous. Listen to what MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tweeted last night, literally claimed Republicans are “radicalizing against Democracy.”
The central story of American politics right now is that one of the two parties is *radicalizing against democracy* in front of our eyes. There are tons of other stories as well, but they all come after that, I think.

They’re literally whipping up their followers to think Republicans want to do in the country, to build hate against and demonize Republicans, to justify the censorship and whatever might come next.
Meanwhile they ignore the violent BLM/Antifa riots that are in fact anti- our Constitutional republic. Democrats have embraced the BLM, called Antifa “just an idea” and Kamala Harris and 13 Biden staffers even donated money to a bail fund to get out folks arrested during the riots.
It is Democrats and liberal media who need a reality check here, as McCain indicated.
