Whoops: Sounds Like Obama Admitted the Quiet Part Out Loud

Joe Biden often trips over words in speeches.

Maybe part of the problem is that he’s reading words off of a teleprompter that are not really his own words. He often sounds like he has no idea what he’s saying or that he’s disconnected from it.

So who will actually be behind old confused Joe, if he gets in? Whose words will he actually be speaking?

Let’s listen to the interview that Barack Obama gave to Stephen Colbert in an interview for The Late Show. I think he just said the quiet part out loud.

Colbert asked him if he missed being president and he acknowledged that he did.

“I used to say if I can make an arrangement where I had a stand-in or front-man or front-woman and they had an earpiece in and I was just in my basement in my sweats looking through the stuff and I could sort of deliver the lines while someone was doing all the talking and ceremony, I’d be fine with that because I found the work fascinating,” Obama quipped.

Oh, really? Not exactly constitutional or legal, is it? But when did that ever stop him? That’s essentially what Vladmir Putin did. Remember when Obama met with Putin’s “front man” and confided he’d be more “flexible” in his second term. You could say that again.

Obama’s “quip” is one of those things that’s a “joke” (but with a whole lot of truth about his desires behind it).

Obama explained further to Colbert why he would want a third term.

“Even on my worst days, I found puzzling out these big complicated, difficult issues, especially if you were working with some great people, to be especially professionally, really satisfying,” he said.

What issue did he ever resolve? He only created more, by inaction. What he’s really talking about is the control and the power.

Compare the two presidencies between him and President Donald Trump. It’s hard to even think of what Obama achieved besides the mess that was Obamacare and a variety of unconstitutional actions like DACA. Compare that to President Donald Trump, who has achieved record low unemployment, energy independence, tax reform, criminal justice reform, historic deals to stop a flood of illegal immigration and historic peace agreements.

Whether from a whispering in an earpiece or not, Joe Biden seems ready to put in place “Obama 2.0,” with many of his proposed nominees being Obama retreads, including those that we definitely don’t want to see again, such as Susan Rice. Some of the folks who helped Biden seem more relegated to the cheap seats in favor of Obama folks for the more prominent positions.
