One of the things that has concerned voters about the upcoming Georgia run-offs is a very simple question.

If there were all kinds of questionable actions going on in Georgia during this past election, how can we guarantee that the upcoming run-offs will be safe? It’s a great point.

The Republican National Committee is not letting it go by. They want answers to what happened in the last election and they want to make sure the upcoming election is secure.

The law suit demands poll watchers have access and that rules governing drop boxes ensure the security of the boxes.

From Daily Wire:

“The legal right of political party committees to appoint poll watchers to observe the process was abridged in numerous polling and tabulation locations during the November 3, 2020, general election and subsequent recount,” the lawsuit says.

“Upon information and belief, the same or substantially similar unlawful practices will resume in connection with the imminent January 5, 2021 runoff election,” it claims. Election officials are “statutorily required to ensure that county and municipal superintendents and registrars are properly and lawfully instructed on the rights of poll watchers and do not implement policies or procedures that impair their ability to fully and meaningfully observe the election process.”

The suit also alleges that Georgia did not abide by rules surrounding the security and surveillance of drop boxes. The RNC seeks to force election officials to install cameras that can monitor each dropbox for the entire length of time they are in use.

Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer told Fox News: “We must restore confidence in the integrity of our elections … The time for begging elections officials to do their job and obey the law is over.”

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a tweet following the announcement of the lawsuit, they seek to force Georgia election officials to “simply follow the laws.”

Hopefully they have all hands on deck for this one, because you can bet that Democrats will be out in force to try to do all kinds of things to sway the election.

This joins another suit just filed by Texas against Georgia (as well as Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin), saying that they enacted last minute changes to the election process that were not passed by their legislatures and in fact violated laws passed by those legislatures, thus not being in accordance with the Constitution. Because of that, Paxton argues, those states have tainted the votes of both their citizens and the citizens of other states like Texas, and prevent having a lawful election.
