Joe Biden has a lying problem.

It’s not a new problem, but a long standing issue. It’s why he dropped out of the 1988 presidential race, his first attempt, so long ago. He was caught lying about his background as well as plagiarizing a speech by a foreign politician. In the controversy, it was also revealed that he had plagiarized during law school.

He’s also lied about many other things of his life, including marching for civil rights. He himself admitted it was not true. Then he seems to have forgotten what he said later in life and repeated it again. Imagine if anyone else had lied about something like that? They never would have made it this far.

But there’s one other claim that is now coming under scrutiny. Biden has said that he got his start at an HBCU, Delaware State University.

From the Washington Times:

Mr. Biden made the claim ahead of the South Carolina Democratic primary during a town hall held Oct. 26, 2019, at historic Wilson High School in Florence, which was founded in 1866 by the Freedmen’s Bureau for Black children seeking an education.

“I got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State — now, I don’t want to hear anything negative about Delaware State,” Mr. Biden told the audience, drawing laughter, as shown on video. “They’re my folks.”

Now, anyone listening to that would think that they’d just been told that he went to Delaware State.

But the school has now issued a statement saying that he never went there.

Carlos Holmes, director of news service for Delaware State, said that Mr. Biden was never a student, although he has made appearances twice on campus for commencement speeches at the public university in Dover, one of the nation’s historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

“Vice President Biden did not attend DSU,” said Mr. Holmes in a Thursday email. “However he was the Commencement keynote speaker in 2003 and [2016], and during the former he was awarded an honorary doctoral degree.”

So in no way does that qualify as going there or getting his “start” there. Biden actually went to the University of Delaware.

So was he intentionally trying to deceive a largely black audience right before the immensely important South Carolina primary which he won and which turned the tide for his campaign? It sure sounds like it. If there was some other explanation, like he did something else there, that isn’t the impression he’s leaving with the students and other people in the audience.

Once again, typical Biden.

Georgetown Law professor Jonathan Turley asked a great question. Why hasn’t the mainstream media asked about this? Doesn’t this seem like “cultural appropriation?” And yes, if President Donald Trump had said something like this, the media would be all over and covering it 24/7.
